I need some help from the experts.....
Started vaping May 2010 with Vapor4Life KR808D and their prefilled carts........
Within 3 months my taste buds changed so dramatically that I had to find a different juice...I've been using TV juices very happily ever since.
Not very knowledgeable when it comes to the inner workings/voltages/ohms.......etc so was really afraid to try higher voltage mods and all of the parts and pieces that went with it......but wanted what higher voltage units had to offer (usb passthru provided enough of a difference to tease me). Also wanted to not have to deal with topping off carts etc. all day long.
Needed new batteries and discovered V4L's "new" 5v OMG Mod and the Dual Coil Tank Cart (1.5 ohm). Ordered both and immediately loaded up with my TV Bavarian Cream (36 mg).
For the first almost 24 hours thought I had died and gone to heaven. All of a sudden it I started getting a burnt taste...really bad. Kept checking and the filler material in cart still looked wet.
Questions...........
Do different juices perform differently at different voltages? Is there a chance that the juice I'm using isn't really being sucked into the cart from the tank sufficiently through the tiny holes?
Am currently using my TV Bavarian Cream in one of V4L's blank cool carts on the 5V OMG Mod and doesn't seem to be burning but really liked the large juice capacity of the tanks.
Would greatly appreciate any suggestions/comments/education anyone has to offer!!!
Thanks!!

Hey Trulife
There really is no right or wrong answer to your problem as it could be many of things causing the burnt. I have run into the same situation with certain flavors.

Other thing i can say is if your using a higher amount of VG then pg the juice might be too thick for the punched carto. I have also experienced this. Carto itself could be bad or on its way out. Many different factors involved

I don't know how you are using 1.5 ohm addys on 5V and not having the EJ burn all the time.

I put some 2.3 ohm addys (standard Joye 306 addys) on my 5V PT and, tried some TV EJ on them and, at first was fine but after a few pufs, when the amount of the EJ on the addy decreased, the EJ started to burn and that was the last time I tried TV EJ on that configuration (and that was 2.3 ohms on 5V not 1.5 ohms on 5V).

I have some EJ from another supplier that I sometimes use on the 2.3s on 5V but do not use that much.

When the EJ does not burn on configurations like these it is probably when there is a lot of EJ near the coil. The heat then dissapates more into the EJ and that means nothing gets TOO hot and doesn't burn. But, once the amount of EJ you have there decreases the heat does not dissapate as well and then you get burning.

I am not an expert on this but that appears to be what happens.

According to the info I've read on their site, the 1.5ohm DVCTs must not be used on the OMG 5v mod. They suggest using them on the latest version king diamond or stealth batts(they don't go above 4.2V). However, they recently added some replacement carts for the tanks that are available in 2.0 or 3.0ohm (they are single coil) and the 3.0ohm would be perfect on your OMG. I actually just recieved both the V4L tanks and the TV XXL DCT(2.0 and 2.5ohm) and haven't gotten around to trying any of them, yet. That's totally new territory for me and I must work up to the challenge! LOL I hope I was able to help you:)
