Ordered a 5 pack of Tornado batts from Totally Wicked about two weeks ago and one of the batts never worked right out of the box. I understand that they clearly state no 28 day warranty on multipacks but I was a bit naive to assume that they would cover a product that never worked upon arrival.

Email back and forth a few times and received response that they could do nothing. I admit I should have called or emailed prior to ask about their DOA policy but my eagerness and false assumption that they would cover a DOA got the better of me. I checked Janty USA they do guarantee products to work upon arrival even their multipacks so hindsight is 20/20.

Clearly I'm not satisfied but much of the blame is on me just be aware of the policies of all vendors before you buy.

After 7.5% off and shipping I calculated I lost about $15.19 with that one dead batt. Ok lesson learned and this has caused me to reevaluate all proprietary battery designs in general. When all this gear I have stockpiled finally dies I will move onto a mod that takes much cheaper off the shelf style batts.

TW is all about fancy packages and marketing , they get this stuff for pennies on the dollar and just bend the customer over

I will not order from them , to many other merchants out there that offer a more fair price , better service and warranty .

Of the $1000 I have spent thus far I spent about $590 with them but you can probably guess if I will ever order from them again. No matter how shiny, exclusive, or cheap their stuff. You can't really gauge how good a vendor is until you have a problem. How they handle it speaks volumes about their quality.

I had another order for juice screw up from another vendor frequently spoken about here. But in their case they communicated quickly and corrected the issue to my satisfaction. Will I order from that vendor again? Already did.

But don't forget my responsibility as well in this situation. I should have investigated their policies a bit more. I am so used to dealing with the likes of large e-commerce sites that typically carry 100% satisfaction guarantees and pay shipping both ways on returns. So I got a bit complacent.

I have yet to have a problem with them and they are in fact one of my most trusted suppliers but to not cover a DOA is not acceptable in any situation or no matter what kind of deal you get on those $16 batteries.

My next order with them was to be for a 5 pack of batts and I thought the no warranty deal was a little extreme but fair since the batteries are so cheap but this is something that makes me totally reconsider placing the order.

What I will do is email them and see if they want the $80 bucks (along with the other $50 that I will most likely blow on a whim on juice and accessories)enough to replace DOAs and if not I will give the money to Janty.

No warranty is fine with me as my tornado has performed flawlessly for a disposable product, no replacement on DOA is not.

I've placed one order from TW and that was ONLY because I didn't want to wait for Janty to have the eGO's back in stock. Their warantee policy IS bad to say the least. I wasn't very impressed with HAVING to use paypal either OR the foreign transaction fee that I got nailed with by paypal because TW is based elsewhere.

I won't be ordering from them again <period>.

This is the exact reason I've avoided purchasing those 5 battery packs.

Just the fact that one straight out of the box was DOA proves they're not testing these properly and you could very well be getting factory seconds (as I posted before in another thread a couple weeks ago).

I think it reflects very poorly on TW to not replace it, and I think I'll probably avoid ordering from them in the future. This 28 day warranty is kinda ridiculous anyway. With the rate of failure with these devices, and the fact they get them at a fraction of what we pay, they should offer a much better warranty, much like Janty does.

Now, if only Janty could keep stock...

Anyway, to offer multipacks but only sell them without warranty is highly suspect, from any vendor, and I'm not going to bother. I just don't trust it.

Well...you live you learn.

NO MORE Totally wicked for me. I've purchased 3 Tornado kits from them (UK site). 1st one was good. Solid 6 hour battery life. Of course i rotated them and last week i offered the kit to a friend. Started to use my 2nd kit and the batteries suck...2 hours at most.

My 3rd kit was already ordered (in fact it arrived today). Question is: a company like TW is not a serious one regarding customer satisfaction. I email them about the batteries and the answer was that 28 days warranty had passed already.

I think of myself as a honest guy and in that email i stated that i was expecting a new kit and that i could easily swap batteries from one to another. But im not gonna do that. In fact this last kit is charging and i will see if the batteries are ok in a day or so.

But it's companies like TW that makes you think if it is really worth it being honest. In my book they lost a customer. I don't like to beg, i dont like to be a smartass...i simply change. Their loss (10 or more kits were to be ordered).

Janty will get those orders now.

Did you order from the UK site? I've never been charged a foreign transaction fee when I've ordered from the US site (based in Florida I believe).
