Hi guys,

Recently i put 1% citric acid to my diy liquid to enhance the flavor. But it going wrong. It has a weird taste. Maybe over use of citric acid.

How to get the liquid back to normal? Any idea?

P/s : i made a large amount of liquid. So i dont want to trash it out.

You could take a little out, say 5ml and add 5ml of the recipe WITHOUT citric acid to see if it comes back to normal. Next time I would advise making smaller batches to start. I've poured a lot down the drain.

What concentration is your citric acid. A 10% citric acid dilution can be used at .5%-2% and not be noticed. This is a common practice for flavor preservation.

If you used 10% citric acid@1%, I'd bet money it's not to blame.
