that was so easy and kinda fun! I used the mug method since I don’t have a drill. Threaded the wire 28g ss thru the mug handle then twisted loose ends together with pliers. Then twirled and twirled the mug until the wire broke.

It came out really tight and smooth. Wish I had taken pics as I was building it. I used SE to calculate a dual build for a Kennedy rda.

It’s fantastic! The flavor is really impressive! This may be my go to for RDAs however I still really like the lower watts and juice needed for my simple round coils.

Thanks Don! I was pretty excited. It’s the 1st time I’ve done anything except single round wire.
And you’re right- the clouds AND flavor are fantastic!!

I'm vaping twisted 26g 316l dual coils in an Apocalypse RDA right now.
Keep up the nice builds!

Nice looking build @Fidola13.

I've been really enjoying twisted wire lately myself. I've just been twisting Kanthal, need to give it a go with SS316L.

I recently bought a roll of 32gx3 twisted SS316, wrapped in 40g from AVS. Very interesting wire. Good vapor production at relatively low wattages. Only have it in one device right now, but plan on wrapping a few more coils out of it to rebuild a few of my RDAs over the holiday weekend.

That sounds interesting. Would love to see some pics of the build.

@Fidola13, there is a tool that is used for tying flies (fishing) that is called a "whip finisher". It is what I used to twist wires. They are about 8 bucks at almost any large big box sporting good store that carries fishing stuff.
It is small and quick to use, takes a minute at most, requires no electricity or charged battery pack.
Search on here and Ytube and you will see yours truly. LOL

If you can beat an egg with a fork, its kinda the same action.

Just out of curiosity why do you space the coil so far ? Is it so you don’t get hot spots or is it a dry hit or spit back thing the reason I ask is everybody is saying they love the flavor off spaced coils so this rewick I decided to space my coils and I sware I lost over half my flavor they’re single core claptons and the flavor was popping off em nice and tightly squeezed but spacing seemed to mute it pretty bad just seems odd cuz I read so much about spacing coils for flavor hmmm idk ?

I like to have a larger area of the rayon heating up than if I did a contact coil. I’m not sure it really makes a difference or not but it’s working for me so I just keep doing it lol!

6 in. Safety Wire Twisting Pliers

I use a wire twister, was use to them from the Army when I was an armorer, for securing certain weapons parts.

I can get 4 lines in there, and while it's a pain, I can get some tight twists.
Currently have a quad 26ga with A1 wire in my Zeus.

That's funny. I use safety wire pliers everyday at work. They do work excellent for twisting wire to make coils. I've done it many times.
