I just got two new extra batteries for my joye510. I got auto's so I wouldn't have to push a button while I drive or while working in garden with dirty wet garden gloves on. Thought I could just it hang out of my mouth:pwhen my hands are busy.
Question #1- As I was removing hem from bag they intermittently light up, with movement. Is that normal?
Question #1- Can I use my regular charger for these new 280mAh batteries? or do I need a different charger?
Thought I'd ask before I screw them in.
Thanks a bunch.

Question #1- As I was removing hem from bag they intermittently light up, with movement. Is that normal? – Yep! That's why most of us prefer the 510 manual batteries. [NOTE: I happen to prefer the automatic batteries on other models, e.g., Kr8. But on the 510: no contest. A great implementation of the manual (button works like a charm), but a poor implementation of the auto.]

Question #1 [I think you meant #2.] - Can I use my regular charger for these new 280mAh batteries? or do I need a different charger? – By "new 280mAh batteries", I assume you mean the longer 510 "mega" batteries. You can use your regular 510 charger for them.

I have a different opinion on the 510 autos than Don. And here, I'm talking about the Joye 510 autos. They will light up like many other autos do by sound, but some are only activated by suction. However, the Joye 510 auto batteries don't have a cutoff point like the KR808D-1 batts do (others as well). And the cutoff point - told in 'seconds before cutoff' isn't always accurate as the promo on certain batteries.

I have an '8 sec. cutoff' KR8 that is actually a 4-5 second cutoff. Not only that, some batteries with cutoffs have 'timeouts' as well. A timeout is the period of time where after the cutoff, that the battery won't start back up with a draw - you have to wait it out. For me, this can be frustrating - esp. if you're really used to having a manual battery where you control what the ecig does :)

The Joye 510 autos that I have, have no cutoff and hence, no timeouts so present no problems of cutting off a good vape or waiting for the thing to reactivate. The "reason" for these 'safety aspects' is so you don't overheat the atomizer, but I think the claim unfounded.

One other thing if you don't already know, it's easier to hold a 510 auto in your mouth with no hands with the 901 cartridge/mouthpiece (some 510s have this also) that is the 'flat tip' and there are two types.

"0" type:

"D" type:

The "0" type cartridge has a bit fatter 'flat tip' and is, for most, easier and stronger to hold in the teeth. D type is a bit thinner although some prefer this. Along the way you might want to try them both. The pics are from heaven gifts which has both types. The 0 is a 510 cart, D = 901 and both fit the 510 atty.
