Two Days in...

Well, April 1st was my switch from cigs to vaping. So far, so good. I still feel the urge to smoke analog, but my Joye 510 has been keeping me from running to the 7-11 and buying a pack. I must say, I have been vaping like a fiend though. Is this normal? The juice I got is 26mg nicotine, but I feel like I just can't get enough. Anyone else experience this when making the switch??

I think we all vape a lot more than we smoked, I have been vaping full time since last July and it doesn't really leave my hand, The urges for a cigarette will come and go and finially just go away, my bad times were in the morning, it take time but you will feel sooooomuch better, I use 24mg and am thinking about going down to 18mg this summer. All I know is I will never go back to Smoking ever again.

Hello from another noob!

I am about 3 weeks in now and a week smoke free. I was a pack a day and i started with 18 mg and was puffing like mad looking for that analog 'rush'. Managed to OD on that! Lol.
Have been moderately vaping 24 mg since and it is fulfilling now that I know what it feels like. Little over a week ago I just didn't feel like having an analog anymore.
It probably is the other chems that I missed for some reason, buy I don't miss them anymore!

I am on my 3rd day of my 2nd attempt. I began vaping a year ago and was off analogs for 5 months, but fell off the wagon. I just began again and I never realized how much I really enjoy vaping. I am still getting the urge for the analogs, which may be due to the fact that I still have a couple of packs sitting around.
I also vape the 26 mg juice in a Joye 510, and since I am allowed to vape at work, life is good. You will still get the odd urge for an analog, but that urge will soon pass. I vape like a madman, but that is also because I am on a diet and by vaping, I am not eating. Give it a couple more days. You were getting a pretty good dose of chemicals from the analogs, and if you were like me, you were smoking a PAD of heavy duty smokes.

I am on day 6 of vaping and day 8 of no analogs. I have to say today was my hardest day as I was really craving an analog many times. Especially after eating. I just popped in a little higher nic level and vaped and vaped and vaped until the urge passed each time. It will pass. I keep my pv in my reach all the time.

Went out to eat with some non smoking friends tonight. Used to be that we always took my car so I could smoke. Tonight, we took my friends car and I vaped the whole way. My friends started craving key lime pie and chocolate. haha! I even sneak vaped in the restaurant. No one noticed.

For people starting out, you might feel like the way to go is to put away the cigs and vape. I had great success with having a few (3 or 4) cigarettes a day for a few weeks and I vaped all I wanted in between. After a few weeks, I just wasn't enjoying them that much and I put them down. Others have said the same thing. This is definitely not a one size fits all thing but, you might consider it, if you're really having trouble.

I applaud anyone that can just stop smoking and start vaping. I hadn't even planned on quitting - I just got an e-cig so I could buy a few less $8.50 packs and not smell at certain times - I found I instantly only smoked about 5 or 6 cigarettes without even trying and they weren't very good. For the first time in my life I thought "Hey, I could actually just quit smoking". When I went to zero cigs the next day, I felt like someone must feel stopping Prozac cold turkey - I felt like the world was coming to an end - I then proceeded to vape myself into a nicotine OD trying to get myself to just feel "right" ;).

Everyone has different body and brain chemistries, but for me, no one can tell me "Tobacco = Nicotine". Even though I always loved smoking, I was so close to actually quitting, and I found myself not wanting to smoke, I decided to smoke 5 a day for a week and then reduce by one about every week. (I might have just ridden out the tobacco withdrawal but I could not have functioned in any way ;)) It is weird though, I have actually had to force myself to smoke my daily quota some days. I am at 2 a day now, and I can honestly say I know I will be done very soon.

I honestly think it has very little to do with "strength of character" or "will power" but it has everything to do with body chemistry. I honestly think that PV's can work for anyone - some people just need to "switch" more gradually than others.

Good Luck!
