I received my first e-cig last week (mini DSE103) but did not get to use it long ( about a day and a half ) as the cartridges that came with it were all I had at the time, but what I did use, I loved. So...

I ordered liquid from two sources, two more mini's, and a pen style used from a friend.

I have been lurking and reading a LOT but do NOT feel quailified yet to review, but would like to post what I have so far, what I should receive soon and a couple of questions.

1. (rec'd) DSE103 with 6 cartridges. Love it, but not sure where to get spare atomizers yet.

2. (rec'd) DSE101 x 2. Love these also, got a bunch of extra cartridges, but on this one too, I am trying to locate spare atomizers, and maybe mouthpieces if I ever need them.

Both of these above are smoking great and lots of vapor, good battery life.

3. (rec'd) Crown 7 - bought used model for hubby so he could try one before ordering new. It's working great, got a bunch of spare cartridges, so the part in mouth is all new. Lot's of vapor, good batteries (came with 3)

4. (rec'd) Liquid - ordered 3 flavors from Jane, love all three so far and it got me back vaping, so I am very happy.

5. (ordered) Liquid - ordered 4 flavors from JC, of course, the day before the sample pack was announced, but that's OK, I will probably order sample pack too.

6. (ordered) njoy for me, just because we want to try many choices.

I know this all might seem a bit excessive for first timers, but there are two of us in this house, and several other friends and family nearby, so anything we don't like, someone else might.

Just wanted to get a little experience in different models, types, flavors, etc.

We are VERY heavy smokers and that has become quite a hindrance to many things we would like to do. Not to mention the health risks.

And I am a burner-upper too, in the ashtray while on the computer (have a transcription company and manage from home office) , therefore the
e-cig "could" be a lot more cost effective in the long run.

I will update and perhaps someday feel qualified to review the products after using them and comparing them a little longer.

Thanks for all the advice, info, and sharing done on this site. As friends and family ask me questions about e-cigs, I just refer them here and let them draw their own conclusions.

have a great one, got to go try some "strawberry" drip smoking !

OK, well here's a question and I thought I had seen a thread concerning this at some point, but my "no smoking" self cannot seem to find it, so please forgive the inconvenience.

I seem to be getting too much nicotine hit from the "high" nic juice I have, and it's all I have right now and even have more on the way.

I seem to have read on here somewhere about "diluting" the juice somehow.

Was that with the glycerin or with the "no nic" PG? or both.

If possible with the glycerin, that would be great as I think I can get that locally for the time being.

I just know that it seems I am getting more a nicotine "rush" than with tobacco cigs, but in review, I have been more a "light and let em burn up" habit and out of 3+ packs per day, probably only been smoking about half that.

Bad bad habit, but one I am trying to break... lot's of ashtray garbage, (nasty nasty) but in my profession, we are dealing with 400+ doctors all day, so stress level very high, and so far the e-cig is doing it's job, just think I am getting a little too much nicotine.

Any advice would be appreciated.

By the way, I sat with friends in the neighborhood last night, enjoying the wind and cool of the effects of Edwuardo blowing over, drank a few beers, watched/smelled others smoking tobacco cigs, and I never ever even wanted one. I am delighted with that part, and if you can't tell, a little bit proud of myself !

If my 35+ years smoking habit can be broken with the use of e-smoking, it can work for anyone.

Other than the nicotine thing, (just a little dizzy feeling, not bad), the only other problem is that I had to hide my lighter, as I kept picking it up and flicking the Bic.... don't think the LED lights would like it much, being melted... LOL

So much great advice and help here, and I am so appreciative !
Hope to one day be one of the "sages" giving pointers to other "newbies"....

thanks all,

Kate

Hi Bwood, well done on getting off the cigs, it's very liberating isn't it.

When I first got my ecig I had all high nicotine cartridges. I could hardly stand it, it was far too strong for me. I squeezed the juice out of the cartridges and added veg. glycerine and food flavouring that had p. glycol in it. That worked fine for me, the cartridge juice makes up about a quarter of the mix. I now use a flavouring with alcohol and no pg and that works too. Apparently the mist is down to pg and vg so just make sure you have enough of those in your vapour to create a dense enough mist to satisfy your habit. Personally I haven't noticably missed nicotine except for feeling a bit fed up lately and I don't know if that's nic withdrawl or not.
