Two Questions About LRider Lambo Mod.

Hello,

I've recently purchased L-Rider Lambo. I have two questions about it and I'd be glad if you can answer them for me.

1) When I'm using SmokTech DualCoil Cartomizer with this unit, the mod shuts itself down if i try to go more then 3.1v's. And when I'm using 510 Atomizer(defaults one which comes along Ego-C kit.) It doesn't let me go up more then 3.4v's. If I go more again it shuts itself down. Is this normal? With what kind of atomizers I can go up more then 4 v's?


2) This one is about the battery I use, I'll try to show it with a picture. I'm trying to use a 18650 3000 mAh 3.7 battery with this mod. But apparently the 3000 mAh battery is just a bit bigger then Lambo can take. The cap doesn't seal totally, there's a bit of opening on the back. Is it safe to use a 3000 mAh battery like this?

Your second question first. I have one of these mods, and know what you are talking about. The mod is designed to use an IMR high-drain 2600 mAh 18650. 3000 mAh will not be high drain and it will be slightly too long, but they do work. You are putting a big strain on those, however, especially with a DCT of say 1.5 ohms. Is it unsafe? Well, we haven't had a gas-out on these mods yet that we know of, but at the very least you are going to kill the battery faster, as the material is not intended for higher amps.

I generally run about 3.8V with a 1.5 ohm DCT on my Lambo. I have to say it is rather inconsistent. Sometimes it stops vaping, and sometimes it is great. Sometimes I find I need to remove the battery and reinsert it, resetting the volts back to 3.0V. Then bring the volts up to vaping level. But I am finding of late I rarely get continuous good vaping. My SmokTek Spinner, OTOH, is a really consistent champ, but I hesitate to do much DCT vaping on it, as it is high current.

I actually wonder if the inconsistency of the Lambo is more related to the soft-contact post of the connector. Juice tends to get into it often, and it could be causing problems. In theory it should be a pretty good mod, but I am more and more unhappy with it.

So in some ways, I am posting the same question you have to the other vets. Any other Lambo vapers in here?

If there is any brass in the chain then you can get results like this, as the interface cokes up. I'm surprised that more people don't use a solid 510-to-510 adapter on the connector by default, as this stops liquid leaking down. Eventually that will cause problems of some kind, like a poor connection, destruction of the silicone insulator, or leakdown into the electronics.

But the core issue is more likely that it's pulling too many amps for the device. You can vape that head at 4 volts with a straight big-batt APV, and it would be enough for many people if not most.

I do not have the Lambo, but I do have the Young June 1.5. I use the EMDCC, and the YJ will vape up to the 6V limit with no problems, except the liquid gets to harsh. The YJ also has a sealed battery connection.
