You know Chadr....I think you are right, Plant forget what I said because it maybe in error for the juices you and Chadr are specifically using. However, "thicker" may not be truly accurate so much as "other". Every juice is different, some can handle the heat while others can fall apart at higher voltages. Generally once you get into the 10w+ range is where you find out how much heat a juice can take.
So plug in the following numbers to the Ohms Calculator below:
Let's look at a 5V Passthrough using a Wow Carto 2.2 ohm or Cool Cart at 3.3 ohms (cartos can vary greatly in what is stated and what the actual ohms are, although Dual Cartos are pretty consistent)
So
Voltage 5...........then
resistance 2.2 and 3.3. respectively
5v with a 2.2 ohm Carto come out to 11.36w...and we know Wow Cartos are pretty hot on a PT.
5v with a 3.3 ohm Carto come out to 7.57w
On batteries 4.2v and 2.2 or 3.3 and you get 8.01w and 5.34w respectively
Now plug in 4.2v and 1.5 ohms and you get 11.76w

I have mentioned before that if 1.5ohm is too hot, get yourself a 2.0, still not right, then try a 2.5 ohm Dual Carto for use with juices that you feel are falling apart. I have no experience with Spearmint per se, but if it is in the Premium Line then it is a sister juice to Grape meaning it has little to no VG in it all. I do have some grape so I will load it up and see how it does, but I do vape RY4 another sister juice from the premium line and it does fine at 4.2v on a 1.5ohm DCT.
If you load up some Wow 555 which by definition is a thicker juice (VG added), you'll find that the flavor is getting pushed to it's limit and lightly scorches at 4.2v on 1.5 ohm DCT muting the flavor.
So certain juice may indeed fall apart....as well, flooding a carto can also mimmick a juice not tasting right as juice basically starts cooking on the atomizer instead of becoming vapor. Are 1.5 ohm DCTs accepted for use with 3.7v unregulated devices? Yes. Does that hold true for every juice? Nope

Personally I would get a hold of some 2.0 and 2.5 Dual Cartos for tanks and find what works best for you by matching your go-to juice with the proper Ohm cartomizer.
This is why Morandir's testing numbers are so incredibly important....The proper wattage with the right juice equals The Perfect Vape.
