Hi Guys,

Recently got a goblin and I'm struggling with dry hits! (Same with my lemo actually) it's definitely something I'm doing wrong, 28awg around a 2mm bit, I've tried ... cotton and Rayon and putting it quite deep in the juice channels and also trying to fluff it up a little bit in the juice channels so its not squished.

Trying to vape 30W is just dry hits galore, anyone got any tips on how to wick a goblin or even a tank in general? My drippers are always fine!

I just got my goblin yesterday so I'm no expert by any means but from your description you have to much cotton in the juice channels.

Before I even got the tank I watched this video maybe this will help, he is a bit long winded in the praise but he does a nice build tutorial on the second half of the vid.

I did the build and wicking in this vid and I'm 35-40 watts on high vg, max vg and it's really good all around...

I was also wrapping my coils around a 2mm bit, and getting constant dry hits. Now I use a 2.5mm bit. Haven't gotten a dry hit since. I don't know if it's because of the bigger coil, or maybe I just happened to get the wicking right at the same time. But it's worth a try.
Also, you won't be able to fit the coils in there if you use to thick of a wire. I use 28g wire for parallel coils. But I don't think I'd be able to fit a 24g coil in there.

I've wicked it exactly the same as the guy in the video and just rewicked it again and the same thing happens. Maybe I'm just running it too high, 30w at 0.5 ohms about 4volts on 28awg. I usually use 26 gauge for my drippers at around the same ohm but can vape at like 50watts but obviously big difference in air flow as well.

What would be the right wattage / voltage to vape 0.5 ohm 28awg at?

Only had mine for a couple of days.
Seems it likes the wicks in the juice channels but no more than half way down.

I was at 40w on a 0.4Ω build
