UD Zephyrus V2 RBA leaking

my first diy ever

Took me 4 tries. First 2 couldn't get the coils right. 3rd had a short. 4th finally got it going.

Kanthal A1, dual coil, 2.5mm inner diameter, 24 gauge (only 24 available at the moment), 6 wraps each.

Got everything in, wick, primed. When I tried to fill her up the damn thing was flooding out of the bottom airflow control.

Is this particular rta picky with wicking or am I doing something wrong? Not enough cotton? Too much cotton?

chalk it up to user error, after disassembling everything I found that the RBA has come undone a bit...slapped on a new set of coils+cotton, everything working

On my V1, I get leaks EVERY TIME I REFILL. No matter what, it always leaks out the bottom. I'm using a stock coil so no issues with "my wick/my build" I even tried doing it incredibly slowly in case maybe it was the speed just flooding it or something. Nothing ever stops it though?

I dont have the V1, my V2 leaked because I didn't screw in the RBA section tight enough...maybe try this? Or check your O rings, specifically O rings near the base of the tank.

I have the same issue with my RBA. No issues with stock coils. I have two Zephyrus v2's. The black one has no issues at all, the SS one does (but only with RBA deck). The flooding occurs through the airflow holes, including the very small one, while filling and after filling. Closing the airflow doesn't help. Even a rubber band around the airflow ring, closing off any hole while filling, doesn't help. It is a pain in the *ss. Any other tips? Thanks in advance.

Rice, thanks for your reply. Yes, they are well placed. The flooding occurs well below the O-ring.

then perhaps its a bad RBA deck? Did you try swapping your black RBA into your silver one, vice versa to see if its the tank or the rba deck.

I tried. Now the SS tank with the black bottom leaks just as much :-(

I think I found it. I turned the glass upside down and switched the O-rings as well. Now I filled it twice without any leakage
