Second carto not working so well. Performance is great, but it just leaks a lot. I get a pretty bad gurgle and twice been able to blow out at least a mil of juice... with the juice closed off all the way (always)...

Had that happen to me as well. what I did to stop that was to fill my DC carto up, then put it in the UFS and make sure the juice and air are turned off. Then I fill the UFS tank to halfway between the top of the clear window threads and the very top threads of the UFS itself. I then put on the top cover, top cap, and my Ming tip. I can go quite a while on the juice in the carto before I have to open the UFS juice control. When it's time to do that, I typically open it all the way. Air control is usually about 3/4 of the way open.

Don't typically get any gugrles but if I do I close the juice all the way and vape it till it needs more juice, then repeat.

Right now I'm using FSUSA's Peanut Butter Cup @ 18mg. Put some in the carto, then fill the tank and go. Generally run through almost the whole tank, refill in the morning. Only issue I have is that it does drain the batteries faster (even high drain) so I use about 3 for a day (18490). But I swap them not long after the first performance drop... I miss regulated power.

Sounds like a commonality is the FSUSA juice. Using a Virginia and a plain juice would add to the longevity of the carto as well I surmise. Well off to FSUSA to try some of their juices. Peanut Butter Cup sounds good. I love the real thing. How does the juice compare? Seems like peanut butter is hard to get right?

Not really the same, no way to really match it. As for the flooding... put in a third carto, same thing and I have NEVER opened the juice with this one... first one was perfect, what the heck is going on now...

Not to be funny here, but are you screwing in the cartos real tight before you close the juice control

Val, not a bad question. What I found is that while screwing in the carto, if I didn't hold the UFS by the very bottom piece (piece that screws onto the telescope/telescope extension) screwing in the carto hard would actually unscrew that piece. I believe that could cause a leak/flooding. Also, are you disassembling the UFS, cleaning it and relubing the 0-rings and threads then reassembling? I do this after every tank that I vape.

Just running through all the obvious as a point by point checklist.

Also, are these new cartos that are leaking from the same package as the one that performed well? Same juice also?

Yes, same package of cartos, same juice, yes I hold it by the bottom when putting in the carto, yes I put it in tight just as the videos show.

I do not take the whole tank apart and clean it every refill... that would completely defeat the purpose of using a tank. I tend to do it once a week, every day would be ridiculous.

I do not want to be insulting, but have you tried closing the air control ring, then opening the juice control ring, and then trying to tightening the carto down more? I was having a leaking issue once and it turned out to be that I was loosening the atty inadvertently.

Sorry if this is insulting, not trying to be.

Tried that already, since I'm using DC cartos with the new top cap I could see if it was getting loose when I turn it.

Is it a punched carto Valsa?

No, not punched.

I took everything apart and cleaned it, reassembled and so far no leaking (with the same carto that was in it before). Maybe it was just something in the threads that kept it from making a good seal.

I always take the UFS or iAtty apart every time that way I can clean the threads and o-rings of any gunk and the now "old" food grade lube and then relube and reassemble. Just the way I've always done things.

I do the same with my pistols and rifles after I shoot them. Probably my military and police background. When I worked the streets I didn't want my weapon to fail me when I needed it the most. Some of the guys I worked with never cleaned their shotguns in their car, for example. Used to find candy wrappers and trash in the barrels. Never could understand that.

At times if I'm out and about I'll refill my iAtty or UFS with juice but usually only about half way. Seems I cannot get two tanks of juice out of a carto or atty. The dark and sweet juices I use just really gums up the works quick.

I seriously need to find juices that I like that are more clear in color to see what effect that has. I tried RY4 just for fun and didn't think I'd like it but there is something about it that I like. Cannot quite put my finger on it definitively but seems to be the interaction and taste of the caramel and vanilla.

I've been looking into Gourmet Vapor and am intrigued by their RY4. Need to research to find the general consensus of that juice and vendor.

Gourmet Vapor has their sale going on right now. I am in kinda the same boat as you. The juices I like gunk up fast but I am planning on ordering 10 or so flavors from them to try that way next time the sale is on I can stock up. Their prices aren't terrible when not on sale either.

I notice they sell as little as 5mls a pop so I had the same thought in mind. Want to do some research on their RY4 though as I'd like to try that one.

For a clear juice that I could vape all day, not too sweet, just very nice is - Vaperite's Orange Blossom Black Tea - one of my all time favorite juices.

I was really surprised when I switch to clear 50/50 juice! I was getting one, maybe two days of ok flavor out of iatty (with fiber) with my regularly VG darker juices.
But since I switch to 50/50 clear liquid, well I don't want to exaggerate but seven days is what I'm getting now and it could be even more...
I'm hard headed and I usually stick with something but this was quite a discovery to me lol

I'd like some of that 7 day action. Would be nice but initially a PITA for vendors to post a pic of their finished juice right there in the description of the juice so I could see how dark it is before I ordered it.

This liquid that I talking about originates from Inaweradotcom and it is vpg(50/50), but my friend here in cro is mixing mine juices.
This vpg base he use to mix fruity juices but you can use it with tobaco flavor too I think.
They have dirty base, vg and pg base...
The prices are good so you can look it up and see if there is anything you like :)
If everything else fails I can send you mine 7 days:facepalm: "beetlejuice" mix for you to try.
