Any reason you can think of that my V1 would all of a sudden lose a lot of vapor production. I've tried old LR attys and brand new and i06s but minimal vapor production. Now take those same attys and slap them in my V2 UFS and they are hummers. Fog makers. I've cleaned my UFS and all it's pieces 3 times. I'm using the same GGTS on both. I'm stumped. Huh????

Any help is great as usual,

Chris

I would pay close attention to the connector pin. Making sure it is getting a solid connection during lock up.

That, given your description, is the place I would start to dissect the prob.

Has to be something not working as should.

I hear ya serpent. I just can't seem to see the problem. I've tried tightening the ggts down harder than I should but I don't want to damage the battery. I've cleaned everything over and over. I don't want to pull the pin out but maybe unscrewing the pin housing is where all start.

Thanks,

Chris

First thing I would do is screw in a volt meter and see what reading I get at the UFS connector.....then put the atomizer on the meter and check the reading under load

Don't forget to clean the UFS connector and the connector pin tip so there's good continuity

Everything into the ultrasonic for 20 minutes in vodka bath then hit everything with a toothbrush. Relubed threads and all is back to fog machine.

Not sure but thank god it's back to working!!!! Man, when it works it works sooooo well and on the rare occasion that it doesn't, it's hell for a couple hours until you realize that you are the problem not your device. Hahaha!!

Thanks,

Chris

Glad you got it worked out Blackwater.

Para could you elaborate on the connectors your using with that brass top in the photo for me ?
I have to use the connector I got with my GGTS and a 510 to 510 short adaptor to get mine set up that way so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I looked on the wiki area at the manual and didn't find exactly what I need.

It's just a long tube connector; here's a better pic of one on a regular mod to show the length. I put an LED in now so I know it's getting a connection even if the voltage is too low to fire up the display. I think the lower limit is around 2.88 v

You can get a long 510-510 extender from Madvapes or other vendor if the bottom connector of the volt meter is too short to fit down into the UFS/GGTS

Thanks Keighles I did not see that one and that's exactly what I needed. I have the 510 to 510 that came with mine and added a shortie 510 to 510 to it just like the pictures show. Perfect

Thanks Para for the picture and description of a long 510 to 510, I wasnt aware they had them. I will grab one sometime to have around, I find the fewer connections I have means fewer places that can cause me issues.

If you are using multiple adapters the gaskets will, sooner or later, tear and can cause a direct short.....that's why I won't use them. But, if you are careful and examine the gaskets on a regular basis you can avoid the problem. Avidvaper sells a packet of replacement adapter gaskets for about a buck.

Hi Para. Can I remove the pin housing without ruining any O rings?

Thanks,

Chris

I don't remove it every time, but periodically it is a good idea to disassemble it in order to re-lube the two tiny o-rings that sit around the pin (in between the plastic insulator and the nut). When you re-assemble, be sure to put those o-rings back on the pin before screwing the plastic piece back on. Trying to push the pin up through them afterward is just asking for a torn o-ring ;-)

IIRC, a 10mm socket will fit the nut so you can unscrew it from the connector, once you break it loose fingers are all you need. Getting the plastic piece off can be tough if it's really tight, definitely don't use pliers, rubber gloves work or wrap a rubber band around it to give you some grip.

Hi all,

Is anyone removing the center pin or center pin housing when cleaning their UFS. I never have but maybe I should.

Thanks,

Chris

I see no real need to; just make sure the two contact ends are clean. A q-tip and alcohol to clean out the connector threads and center pin. It's easy for ejuice to dry and gunk up the connector.

It's always a good idea to do regular maint on it to lube the 2 o-rings so that would be the only time I would take it apart.

Are the 2 O rings between the hex nut and the plastic or are they inside the plastic housing?

Inside the plastic housing (the center pin slides through them) are where the 2 2x1mm o-rings go....and watch the youtube vid of how to replace them.
With my first GGTS I pushed the center pin out and then tried to cram it back in....tearing both. Some dumb mistakes are long remembered. lol
