Runny noses suck  My nose is raw too from all the tissues. Something that helped me today was putting Vaseline on the sore skin. It looks "lovely" but it helps. If you have some you should try it. Lotion wasn't helping mine.

I've had that crap since before Thanksgiving, off and on and after Christmas it finally went into full blown sinus infection w/bronchial congestion. Antibiotics & cough med helped but what really kicked it was a Neti pot. Had never tried one before but finally did and fell in luuuuve! Seriously, try it, it works! I felt so much better and it really helped to get all the mucus out and left me feeling clear. Also helps with the drainage, I quit coughing so much. Hope you all feel better soon!

The netipot/sinus rinse is excellent for daily use for anyone with sinus/allergy issues. But, I tried using one while I was sick (really congested in the sinus area) and it was more painful than helpful. I was so stuffed up in there that the water didn't have anywhere to go. But, my nose wasn't really running either, so this might work for anyone that has loose mucus floating around in there. I don't use a conventional netipot though, I use:
NeilMed Pharmaceuticals, Makers of Sinus Rinse, NasaFlo Netipot, Nasal Irrigation I have found them at almost every pharmacy in my area.
