Yep the Lysol wipes we're a bit much lol. Through Google it was saying report to emergency room or poison control lol. My husband is a police officer and he stopped home and saw me with the Lysol wipes and he's like .. dude, you shouldn't be playing with this stuff. That's how I felt, like a scared little kid who just got caught playing with matches or something lol ugh, I got freaked. I'm good now with my extra nic lol!
my point on pets is two fold. I'm not just randomingly saying don't allow pets near bottles of closed juice.. thats not my point. It's don't allow your pets in the room when mixing.
They are distracting, curious, and just like children everything goes in their mouth. It's a recipe for disaster.
If they bump into you at the wrong time it will cause a spill, or if they distract you it will cause you to spill something, (or you wont measure correctly and you'll mess up your juice).
Like kids everything goes in their mouth... if you spill they will touch their tongue to it and a 9 pound animal will be poisoned by what for us is a very small amount of ingested nicotine.. they have neither the body weight nor the tolerance.
For them, and for yourself keep them out of the room while your mixing, whether by allowing them yard time during the process, or by shutting them in another room for the short time it takes.. (This goes for children too).
As for your husband. He is going to worry himself sick over you mixing.
My husband didn't allow me to mix for well over a year after I first asked permission. It took much patience on my part and my talking to him at random times about the relative safety of mixing before he finally relented and allowed me to mix my own juice.
After that I mix when he's not around, and under no circumstances do I tell him stories of spilling nicotine, either myself or others. I try and make it like ejuice just magically appears in our home for our consumption... it's a fae thing..lol.
If your husband is anything like mine, willing to go out and play with guns and do all manner of dangerous things but thinks you should be kept safe from so much as stubbing your toe, then you'd do well to do the same as myself.
Good luck to you.
