Ok, so, I've had the Blucig (yuck) and have been with the Joye 510 for the past few months. I use cartomizers that I fill myself, usually with 24mg nic juice. I usually buy mostly VG because I've read it produces more vape, which I need. I've tried many, many flavors, included many tobacco flavors because I still want that cigarette taste, but alas, none of them taste like my Marlboro, which I'm still smoking too many of, btw. My question is: What do I need to do to get that warm, lungfilling feeling from my ecig that comes from an analog? Do I need to increase the nic level or change the pg/vg ratio in my juices? Or am I just out of luck?? I'm not feeling "satisfied", therefore I tend to vape constantly!! Help, please!!!
I guess I never actually replied to your question, and that might be because several others did reply, but I'm here again and thought I'd tell you what works for me to get good throat hits.
I use eGo batteries that last for several hours. My 900mAh eGos last for 9 hours when vaping constantly. My 1000mAh eGos last for 12 hours when vaping constantly. I never bought any of the 650mAh eGos that come in kits, but it seems people get anywhere from 4 hours to over 20 hours (average is about 6 to 7 hours), but I'm sure that depends on how many drags one takes and how long they drag on it. I usually charge one battery every day and sometimes two batteries, when I rotate two batteries throughout the day.
I use cartomizers, because I'm either too busy or too lazy to drip very often. Dripping requires 3 drops every couple-three minutes, when vaping constantly.
My nicotine level is 18mg. Tried 30mg, 24mg, 18mg, and 12mg. 18mg is perfect for me. The rest was too much (too harsh) or too low (not satisfying).
My PG level is about 80% and VG level is 20%, but I'll add about 10 to 15% of Glycerin that I bought at Walmart.
I've tried juices from various suppliers, most of them I didn't like, except the juices from FSUSA. I believe one of the major factors in getting throat hits is determined by how the suppliers mix their liquids. I bought six bottles from one of the suppliers (who sells his juices for very cheap) and could not get any throat hits. That was about a month ago, and I tried those juices yesterday -- and still no throat hits.
I get good throat hits from the liquids I get from FSUSA and some other suppliers, but I still vape constantly, because I can't get enough of it. I don't think I vape constantly because I'm not getting enough nicotine; it just tastes and smells better than smoking (and it's still new, so I might be able to slow down in the future).
I think you're using too much VG (try increasing the PG ratio to at least 50% or more), and the Joye 510 could be a factor, since that battery probably loses its power often and doesn't always give the cartomizer enough power to create the warm vapor that you would get from an eGo battery.
I can't help you with any ideas for the tobacco taste, because when I started vaping, I discovered that I didn't care for the tobacco flavors that much and found that I really liked the dark smoky taste of RY4 (RY4=a little caramel, vanilla and tobacco), and I add Caramel, Nut Mix, and Apple, plus a little Glycerin from Walmart... all of my current juices are from FSUSA, though...I didn't care for juices from the other suppliers I tried.
