Lots of places offer shipping options. You just have to pay a lot more for it. In my experience, things get broken a lot less often by the USPS than others. My last order from MFS for nic and VG showed up with both bottles busted in shipping from FedEx. 2nd try and the VG still came with the cap broken off. 3rd try was USPS. Took a week instead of 2 days, but everything made it in one piece.

5 *business days* from the date of shipping (the date the USPS actually got their hands on it, not the date the label was made), you can contact USPS and have them search for it -- but if it's less than 5 business days since the USPS got their hands on it, they won't do anything.

I am not a fan of the "just wait for it" plan. Granted, it is just vape stuff or shoes or a book or whatever. But keep on them until they are sick of you. One day it will be something of importance. Example......

Rather then make a 20 mile drive to the county seat for auto tag renewal, we did it by mail. A few days later at the end of the month when the tags expired. still no tags. County treasurer confirmed tags were processed and mailed out the day they received them. Post office was unable to locate them. After 10 days waiting for mail from 20 miles away, I illegally drove the 20 miles and paid an additional fee for duplicate tags. Three weeks after they were originally mailed, they arrived and showed a postmark (same date the County Treasurer said they were mailed) from the sort center 100 miles away. Three weeks to go 20 miles? Pony Express was faster! Pretty sad when you have to drive a stake to see if it is moving! It was also interesting that there were other stampings on the envelope that had be scribbled over making them unreadable. The sad thing is, that surely isn't even a record.

Just wait, it will eventually get there? I give them a reasonable time and go by their tracking information. I'm tired of it taking twice as long to go the last 100 miles as it took to go the first 1500 miles. Get on them and stay on them. Otherwise, why would they ever fix their flawed system?

Rant over and yes, I'm feeling much better now!

Totally with ya; my husband and I both receive our extremely necessary medication by mail -- my asthma and his hypertension. If I don't get my rescue inhalers, I'll end up in the emergency room, insurance or no insurance, so when they don't arrive when they're supposed to, I get on the horn to GSK and have them authorize an emergency inhaler -- which I can get at Walgreens -- to get me by until the USPS deigns to get off their lazy behinds and do their job.

Just a fun story to tell. I lived in Wisconsin and my boy friend lived in San Diego. We long distanced dated and eventually moved to Boston and got married. So one day I get a letter in the mail. "What the heck is this, that's my hand writing!" It turns out to be a Christmas card I sent him 2 and a half years previous to Calif. The address was written perfect exact and they could not find him there yet they found him in Boston? The fun part was it was like opening a bit of a time capsule. I did hand make that card! (to add, I like my postal worker that I have now)

My last purchase from MFS ended up lost for quite some time. It ended up going back to MFS. They would have mailed back to me but I had already replaced. So I have a $12 credit with them. Same thing happened with Eciggity. They got mod back after MIA for about 2 months. They mailed it back to me and I got it in about 2 days USPS really, really SUCKS !! They don't answer phone, keep you holding or refer you to "somebody'" else. It's a crap shoot for sure when ordering on line with USPS

Keep after your local Post Office if it shows on tracking as out for delivery. If you have to, go to the post office and talk to them. We had a couple of packages that were out for delivery that did not come with the regular mail. When I called the PO the first time, I was just told that it would probably come the next day - it did. When I called the PO about the second package, I finally got an explanation that makes sense. It seems that our street is divided between 2 carriers, and sometimes our stuff gets sorted into the wrong carrier's bin. We did get the package later that day - I don't know if they contacted the other carrier or what, but a PO vehicle showed up a couple of hours later and hand delivered it to me.

FedEx and UPS used to be good carriers. Lately, we have had nothing but problems with them, anything from very poor to no tracking updates, to packages coming late at night, to carriers who do not bother to knock or ring the doorbell and just leave packages sitting by the front door where anyone passing by can see them. I have also gone to the trouble of taking pictures before I even open packages because the boxes look like an elephant sat on them and there are gaps and holes in the boxes where smaller items could have fallen out. I have had much better luck with USPS.

although in this example i am speaking about canada post i know people have had similar experiences with USPS as well.

one time i ordered a product from amazon at about 3pm. it was shipped out and picked up by canada post at about 8pm. i live about 15km from the amazon depot that the package shipped out of. up until this point in this situation i would have the product delivered the next day. this time however, canada post had lost the package in their sorting facility for 3 days before i called them. the agent said that since the delivery timeframe was a maximum of 7 business days there was nothing she could do. so i waited those 7 days with the package still lost in the sorting facility. i called to open an investigation. and OMG what do you know? 4 hours later it was sorted and on a truck to my local delivery area. bottom line is that all shipping companies suck.
