I hope there is an "ugliest mod" reward because I want to submit my entry.

Call it the -CuP- for copper pipe mod.
Thought about the -IMP- for improvise because I did plenty of that.

I used 801 atomizers cause that's all I have.
Uses one CR123 battery (runs at 4.2V to 3.5V) and produces plenty of vapor (at least for me).
Could use 2 CR23's if you wanted 6V and a real fog, like some of you all have done.

I'm use to fiddling with 801 batteries, atomizers, cartridges, etc. so this thing is a *HUGE* improvement.
The only solder connections are to the switch; I used 2 .... splices and modified them for the positive battery and atomizer contacts.

The thing costs very little to build, depending on what material you have on hand. Need some time though.

seriously kv, that mod is so cool plus it looks very durable which makes it great for carrying around and it is not so small that it could be lost easily, also the idea of very little soldering will be appealing to a lot of people. Good job very good job.

Thanks.
It's really not too large; little over 4" without the atomizer.
I think I'll try one with aluminum next time.

500KV - Looks good ! Great color.

Not sure what the switch contacts look like, but migt be possible to use slide on grip connectors (forget the name of these, but come in a few different sizes for connecting to tags, such as on loudspeakers) to achieve a solution with no soldering at all :)

I guess I could have used some Brasso on it before I posted.
Yes those connectors would probably work fine.
The thing only has 2 wires in it; both +.
I just let the body be the - side using a spring in the end cap.

thanks but I think I'll stick to using the "other" end of the flashlight. You know, yesterday
at the Home Depot I saw a piece of copper pipe that had a round sealed end on it, I guess they use it to dead end pipe, it almost looked like a cigar fwiw, regardless, nice mod you did.

Thanks.
I didn't really have a plan in mind. Just started at one end and played it by ear.
It's really a simple mod (kinda like the fabricator):D, but it sure puts out the vapor.

Nice rig KV.

Although my 14500 batteries are still on the slow boat from China, I've been looking hard at ½" copper pipe and caps. I can't check for fit until I get my batteries but I'm thinking that will make a sweet and compact single battery 801 mod with an insulated spring and microswitch set into the bottom end cap.
