I always smoked more when I was out drinking with friends, well, no, i didn't actually 'cos i was a chain smoker, didn't matter what I was doing, always had a ... in me hand
I still have a drink most nights ,,, beer / wine /cider /whatever's on hand but also drink more water, which imo, is a good thing
Always have a game of online scrabble on the go too, ... more enjoyable with a glass of plonk

Another that a buddy of mine likes to repeat goes something like this - "The whiskey in this flask is good for snakebites. It's a good thing I always carry this snake around too." I believe he has mentioned who's quote that is, but I can't think of the guys name.

I think sometimes wild guesses tap into knowledge that isn't indexed well in one's brain -- I pop out a lot of wild guesses while watching jeopardy, and 90% of the time, they're right! And I'm just flabbergasted, because I didn't know I knew that!

Well, for me anyway.

About the only time I vape these days is when I'm drinking.
But I have a couple of drinks every night after work.

If I stopped drinking, I would probably all but stop vaping.
Well, I'd have to REMEMBER to vape, because I wish to continue using nicotine for health reasons.

But if I stopped vaping, it would not have any effect on whether or not I continued to drink.

Agree! There are so many people who only smoke when they drink and now those who don't want to smoke when they drink can vape while they drink. They are no longer left out lol!

I find this topic funny. I smoked for 28 years and my hubby did as well for about the same amount of time and neither one of us drink. I have two drinks a year, amaretto sours/YUM!, at hubbies company Christmas party and hubs drinks water. That's it.
