Hey Folks,

I received these batteries with a flashlight kit. I would like to use them in my RoughStack. But I do not know if they are protected. Can anyone confirm yes or no?

Yes, they are protected.

Protected batteries will generally have an indented ring about 3/16ths (2-3mm) below the crown, anterior end, of the battery. There is also one at the posterior of the battery although usually not as well defined. This is caused by the gap between the cell and the protection PCB under the overwrap.
Or, as wolfstone noted, probably a simple yes would suffice.

Is that a picture of the actual batteries or an image you found that looks similar?

Thanks wolf and master. The photo is one I found but is 100% identical to the batteries I have. It is a Cree K8 18650 flashlight kit. Best $19 I ever spent.
