Well I do at least.

I have heard only 1,500 were made.

Could that be true?

Sounds about right. There was a limit of 2 Beta P3 purchases per Pro vape dealer. Not sure how many dealers they have but I'm sure they didn't try to make too many or a bunch of extras. Considering there was the possibility for changes of the unit. Due to problems, design flaws or unforseen circumstances.
