Wow, what a slippery slope this whole PV thing is.

I started vaping in early March of this year with a KR808D system. Figured out with my first prefilled carto that I wouldn't be satisfied with those. SO... I found this Forum and spent alot of time lurking, and saw ECBlends talked about on here.

My first order of samples from them included the flavor that became my all day vape (7 Leaf Tobacco Blend).

I also found the Vapor4Life folks on here and they make some high quality merchandise and have a great forum of loyal followers.

From there I was steered to my first tank. Took a little help from the forum crew there. but learned about modding cartos for better juice flow.

NOW I already find myself wanting a Provari VV PV ... my wife's gonna kill me!

But oh what fun I'm having learning, tasting etc. Plus. of course, the best part is I'm no longer a smoker!

Welcome and look at it this way---- you would have ...... that cash away on smokes anyway! Each time my wife used to ask me how many more PV's do I need I would reply with "how about I go buy a pack of smokes". Need and want are two different things so now she does not mess with my hobby.

Hobby is the perfect word. I have gone from 36mg of nic to 12mg and my next order is going to be 6mg. I don't seem to miss the nic at all. I love the flavor and I am glad to spend my money because I want to and not because I feel I have to. If I get to 0mg I will still vape. Also if my battery runs out mid day I don't feel like I have to run to the store and buy smokes to get me by. I can just wait till I get home. Doesn't feel like an addiction to me.

Tonight I did an accounting of the money I've spent so far in the 3 weeks I've been vaping and compared it to the money I would have spent on analogs, analogs would have been cheaper.

I understand there are start up costs and mistakes that beginners make, and I know eventually I'll break even, but until then I'll just remember we can't put a price on our health.

Congrats RayN. Common story here for folks to realize it does cost more if you get the "bug". I've been vaping for 90 days now (after ~33yrs 1.5PAD) and am half way to breaking even. I saw a funny acronym on another post SWMBO (she who must be obeyed...) asked last night when the packages are gonna stop and if she'll ever get the cabinet back that is full of juice bottles. I said, "hopefully never, cause the alternative is way worse". She laughed and said she's proud of me and that was that. In all seriousness though, there is a point where it all seems to settle down. I will say that buying a Provari put an end to expensive toys for me. I still an occasional new flavor or cool new atty/carto, but all-in-all I've got enough supplies to coast and the balance sheet is tilting back towards my favor (or at least evening out, day 180 will be my break even point)

Of course by then the 27volt Provari V12 10kmAh auto vapor hybrid will be available with hydrogen fuel cells and training wheels - so the cycle continues

The Post It note that says 1-20-12 Last Cigarette hangs just next to this monitor. The Kr808's got me thru the first 2 weeks, with a bucket full of cartridges. I sprinted thru the eGo's and all of a sudden I have this beautiful $200 device with a watts processor, and I'm like, its time for math. I refuse to add up the stack of invoices at this point. I will say this, the good vendors have really cool business cards.
The value of this hobby is worth a lot more than $.

I thought that for a while but I have now decided there is no perfect setup. I thought I was there and they just keep coming out with better stuff that I just have to try out. New juice venders and new mods and new tanks and new cartos. I am happy where I am now but will I be in two months. I doubt it. The spending has slowed down greatly in the last month but I feel a slight itch starting up that will need scratching before long. I am sure it won't be something I need but something I want. Your last sentence is the most important. It is all very cheap compared to the daily and long term cost of cigarettes.

Thanks for all the ways to justify the expense! :)
Pulled the trigger on the Provari last night and it's already been shipped. I can hardly wait!!

Enjoy the new toy and when it comes in make sure you tell her how much you spent. This way she will get mad for the evening and you get some nice quite time to play with the new gear :) Happy vapes
