Whipped up a few batches. All 15ml and 3mg nic. Did them at 100vg, 90/10 and 80/20.

They are all pretty good. Using VT nic and fillers.

What do you use as a recipe for an unflavored nic vape?
Used 10/90 water/VG, moved back to 30/70 PG/VG

I use 80/20 vg/water, but note that it can get pretty hot if e.g. subohming or otherwise using high wattage, as the boiling point is highly reduced, so the evaporation is more effecient, also wicking better too me in rta's...

I'm a "tootle-puffer" I guess it's called myself, with just running usually at about 16-20 watts :) (On 26 gauge, 8 wrap spaced, 2.4mm ID, netting right at 1 ohm...)

I've heard that it can vary in taste using different coil wraps...
Yes, different atties and different builds, like e.g. if using closed or spaced wraps, have an impact on flavor in general, and that goes also for unflavored since that isn't flavorless by any means...

In one atty, I get more of a sweeter taste in general, from the vg, and in another I get a less sweet but more rich tobacco taste, and in all cases I get more intense flavor from using spaced wraps vs. closed...

Of course, this is just my openion, but I would say that no matter if someone disagrees with me, or not, then it's imho a fact that there's a difference in taste between e.g. closed and spaced wraps, but of course which of the two you prefer is subjective...

I need to try this too (unflavored), have about 600 bucks worth of garbage juice sitting around, what a waste of money.

... As late as this afternoon I was sitting and waiting on the bus, vaping away, and thinking to myself "damn, this thing tastes so freakin' good!"... :) It's so nice to not have to mess around with what your new adv should be, because you either is getting tired of your current flavors, or simply cannot taste them anymore... The subtle and natural sweetness of the vg, coupled with the added depth and mouthfeel of the nic, and it's nice tobacco tones, if not to clean, makes for a really, really nice vape indeed, which just grows on you and you like better and better as time goes on :)

not to mention the not-having-to-mess-around with gunky cotton and coils either.

    For sure!

I lucked out and started when I started vaping so I was able to focus on just figuring out about using my equipment. That was really nice as it can a little overwhelming just figuring out batteries, PV's, and atty's.

Yeah, The much less coil/wick gunking is defenetelly a huge plus to me too, which I forgot to mention before, thanks nebulis!

Health-wise is another plus I feel, as not only are we absolutelly sure to be avoiding known dangers like diacetyl and other diketones, but who knows which new compounds they discover later on in the flavors which could be problematic for inhalling, or just simply e.g. allergi-inducing or otherwise irritating. As i've said and others many times, then there's many multi-year tests on both pg and vg for inhalling, with no real dangers found in that, plus I belive the nic also to not be found doing harm when inhalled, but the flavors are the unknown variable here, since as they are tested back and forth dosen't help us, when those tests are for food-intake and not inhallations!...

I started out with flavors, and after some time I always ended up not being able to taste it anymore, vapers tongue I guess it was... Also to always have to find something new to be able to go with all day without ending up hating it.

I very much like e.g. custards and such in real life, but don't really think my vape should taste like that, like e.g. having custard flavored cig's, ya know...

At first I was intrigued by reading others doing unflavored, like Kurt and Cyrus etc, and thought to myself, hey, I gotta try that to, man! At first, it wasen't the best in the world for me, but absolutelly acceptable, but just not a revelation or anything. But, I decided to just keep at it some time more, before going back to flavor's, and man, i'm glad I did, because now I just simpy love that subtle flavor, and when I e.g. try to taste my sisters flavored adv in one of her ecigs, then I think how the xxxx can she vape that crap. That's not how the vape is supposed to taste!

Anyway, about coil gunk, then I love the much less frequent dryburns/rewicks, but i'm intrigued about getting that frequency even more down by using rayon, so i'm gonna try that one of these days too, and also because maybe the vape gets better through that(tastewise I mean), as some state, who knows :)

r77r7r, Yeah I know what you mean, man! Cheers mate! :)

    lol :) 80/20 vg/water, and sorry, 3mg nic.

E.g this is my usual mix I make roughly each 10'th day:

    100ml. unflavored:

    nic(100mg vg): 3.72g (3ml)
    vg: 97.02g (77ml)
    h2o: 20g (20ml)

For ml's divide nic with 1.24, vg with 1.26 and h2o with 1... Hmm, I update to also ml's above...
This is cool. I never thought of diluting my 100%VG with 20% water. Would distilled water make a difference? Are you using tap water? Probably bottled water? What about FIJI?
