Good morning everyone,

I'm very disappointed and sad this morning to say that after trying real hard for the past 4 weeks I just can't continue with the E-Cig anymore: for those who followed and answered my other posts (thanks a lot by the way!!!) for the past couple of weeks must remember that since I started to vape my asthma reacted real bad to the e-juice I had with my starter kit... So after doing research and everything I started to order different juices from different companies and different PG/VG ratios and flavors to find what was the ''culprit''.

Well almost 4 weeks and 300$+ later nothing's working for me and I just can't continue that anymore, health-wise and money-wise too. I did all the tests across the spectrum and we just can't find what is the ''culprit'', even after trying 100% PG and VG, no nicotine, etc... Again I would like to thank everyone on this website that took the time to answer me and provided tips/recommendations, it's really appreciated :)

Anyway thanks again for everything guys, was really awesome, and I'll keep checking back

What a disappointment. Was your pulmonologist able to nail down anything as to how this affected your asthma? I don't kow a lot about asthma, it's kinda tricky though.

It would just be interesting to know more about it, since the ingredient in asthma inhalers is PG.

And of course, the ability and/or limitations of asthmatics as candidates for vaping is a very interesting subject as well, certainly one that needs more exploration.

Just wish that between the forum and your pulmonologist there was a way to keep you vaping and off the analogs.

If you were not working with a pulmonologist, it might be an idea and worth exploring?

I appears that the pictures of the kit Urobulus wanted to sell has been removed by the mod as it should be posted in the classified section instead. Oops. I was just trying to blow up the picture when POOF! ...it was gone.

Try posting in the classifieds...surely someone will be interested. Best of luck to you!!! Sorry it didn't work out. Personally...I find VG very hard on my breathing...and do much better with PG.

Sad to hear it didn't work out for you. It's difficult to understand how the chemicals in a PV would cause problems with asthma but analogs wouldn't. Then, I know very little about asthma and not really sure how people with it are able to smoke at all. I have known very many people who do smoke with asthma and I have always been curious as to how they can do it...or why they would have ever taken up the habit. But then, I also wonder why I ever took up the habit too.

Good luck, hope you find another cessation tool that works well for you.

BTW...have you looked into the nicotine inhalers? My step-father used one with some success (he quit for a year).

If only he wasn't so stubborn and bent on smoking until his death no matter what, it might still be working for him. I did get him a new eGo that arrived today, I hope he sticks to it.

of course I have to ask...did you talk to the doc? so much can be going on and its really hard to pinpoint the source. Aspiriligus Niger in the bath...(mold), viruses, new allergies to weeds, trees and flowers.

Dont swear off vaping. make a commitment to investigate your asthma symptoms as much as you can. You might find answers and will come back :) Either way - I hope you feel better.

That's so sad, and am sorry to hear this. For what it's worth. my sister in GB uses the nicorette "inhalator" and had some modicum of success with it, if that's an option you can try. Admittedly she get ribbed constantly (by me ) as to why she's "smoking a tampon" but that's just because I'm a big sister. And it does work for some people if gum and lozenges don't cut the mustard. If you can't find them locally EBay is also worth a try and I believe they come in different strengths of nicotine.

Wow thanks a lot guys for all the kind comments, you are really the bests!!! :)

Yeah indeed I smoke and I have asthma, I know it's stupid, but quitting cigarettes is not that easy unfortunately... :(

Oh well guess I could investigate further maybe in a near future but for now I have to take a long break for my health and for my budget too (I know it sounds stupid but since I stopped vaping and went back to analogs fully I feel a lot better). One day I might be able to stop smoking or not, who knows, one day at a time, we'll see :)

If only it was just a matter of pulling the plug and stopping it sigh... : /

Before you go back to smoking, please consider trying General Snus or Camel Snus. Snus is just as non-hazardous as e-cigarettes, and will not complicate your asthma.

Good luck

Yes on the general! No on the camel unless it's the Swedish version which I believe is legal in Canada, not US.

Good luck friend.
