I asked this in the new person area when I joined and thought I would get more feedback in the Veterans area.

I want a unit dedicated to the desk. It will never leave the desk. I will have another or other units for around the house or when out and about.

When I hit the desk I am usually glued to it for 12 hours. I hunker down and work.

I want a unit that I don't have to think about batteries or juice once I start working.

I don't know how much vapor I want as I am using V2's at the moment so I have not had experience with a cloud maker.

One person said at most eGo or eVic. I am not sure about this one?

Passthroughs were mentioned, they would take care of the battery life issue. Do any of you find the cord gets in the way?

I was told a passthrough with an 6ml carto tank will take care of me being tied to the desk.

Another suggestion was a VMOD-XL as well as a REO mod. If I don't get an advice right now I am thinking the VMOD-XL but I don't know if this is the right choice for me or not.

Other posts mentioned these things; eGo passthrough with a Vision eGo clearomizer, Silver Bullet OR a Provari, eGo-T with a Kanger T2, ego VV passthrough from ljesmokes, and large capacity tank like a phiniac or 25mm IBTanked xl with ikenvape mega fusion 510s, 5v pass thru without a battery and manual switch.

I have no experience with any of these as I am using V2's now.

Right now I am leaning towards the VMOD-XL but again I have no experience.

What would you guys recommend for a until that will never leave the desk?

I will worry about a replacement for the V2 with probably both a mini and a midsize but I don't want to think about that until the Desk bound unit is figured out.

If it were me I'd scratch the VMOD. They are gravity fed meaning you have to turn the mod upside down when you squeeze/squonk to juice bottle. It was a pain for me. A REO is a much better choice if you're thinking about bottom feeders.

I've used passthroughs while at my desk and it was very convenient. They are pretty thin so a large tank on top will make it top heavy but your won't have to worry about batteries or juice all day and the cord never bothered me. You would want to plug it into a 2 amp AC wall adapter rather than your PC and if you get the ones without a battery I believe they are 5v so you would want to use SR cartos/clearos rather than LR. I hope this helps.

I agree with all that tmcase says. I have both the vmod and the reo (in the smaller size though) - I like them both but for busy work the reo would be my choice for reasons stated. One thing about vmods though - while they use gravity, only a Very light squeeze is needed to feed - not as true with the reo because the bottom feeding is truly a bottom feeding tube inside the bottle.

I'd go with an Joyetech eGo-c "upgrade" passthrough. Get the 650mAh, no need for the 1000mAh if you're not on the move. And the 'upgrade' PT has two modes - one runs a bit hotter for stronger flavors. The other mode is like any other eGo-c. Plus the Joye eGo-c has the best short and charge protection available. And as tm says - do it from a wall plug.

The largest tank/clearo that is the same diameter as the eGo is the Kanger T3(aka Tabac BCC) - 3ml tank which should last you quite a while - ymmv depending on your vaping habits. They have changeable coils. The 'default' is 1.8Ω which I find is good for most flavors but suggest you also get extra coils in 1.8 and 2.2 - 2.2Ω for lighter flavors.

You can get any of these at many vendors.... and there are various similar clearos out there. They have 'baby T3's, evods - which have smaller tanks and the "MT3" which has a metal skin over a plastic tank, which, imo, just makes it heavier - no other 'plus' other than perhaps the cosmetic look of the skin.
