Update on my mom...

Some of you know that I talked my mom into ordering, and she got her kit about a week ago. She called the next day to say how pleased she was with it and how few cigs she'd had that day; I restrained myself and didn't call like, daily, to see how she was getting along because she's smoked for 40+ years (got the actual number today), ~2 pack a day and has quit/restarted, quit/failed countless times. Didn't want to nag.

She called today to do NOTHING but brag and gush about how fantastic vaping is. To thank me and to thank V4L, and to say she feels hope in getting free of the analogs for the first time since she was 15 years old. Pretty amazing stuff. So, thanks once more. To Steve, Mark, and the V4L crew but also to ALL you guys here at the forum, for being so great to newbies like myself. Not including my mom, four of my friends are now lovin' V4L, two more have ordered, another's considering, and I have a couple I'm planning on converting.

So totally blame me for Mark being over-worked.

leaford, she has an 'emergency' pack, but she's 99% vaping.

I was a smoker for over 40 years myself, and my children are so very happy and constantly tell me how proud they are of me. I tell them I can't take the credit, cause it was just too easy.

The moment I put a Vapor King to my mouth, the cigarettes were history.

flowersoul, that's exactly what i say--i really can't take credit cause, well, i mean, V4L gave me something BETTER than smoking. & mom's the same, she's like, 'i feel like i should... try harder, but there's nothing to try harder AT!' my grandparents are so thrilled with her & i & my husband quitting at the same time--said it's the best holiday season they've had.

Catmommy - don't sweat it, you will put the analogs down when you are ready. I'm in the boat with you; I vape and still smoke analogs. And yes, the analog meter on my banner is correct - that's how many analogs I haven't smoked since hooking up with V4L (it's kind of scary how many I would have smoked without!).

Thats AWESOME Belletrist! I ordered my mom an UU kit on the 9th and borrowed her some of my supply to get her through till it comes in. She says she likes it and sees how it could and should work. She has had a few smokes the past two days only out of habit cuz she forget she is still in trial borrowing mine. Hope it works for her!

I estimate that the analog total on my banner is about 25% higher than it should be. But that's still A LOT of analogs saved. And Let's NOT talk about my break even date. That will never happen.

But I must admit, I am jealous (and VERY happy for at the same time) the members who picked up vaping and never picked up another analog. It amazes me!
Maybe I need Xanax...LOL....

I bought an "emergency pack" today, and smoked two. They tasted like total sh *t. I told my husband "I enjoy vaping so much more than smoking, it's weird".

I'm thinking your mom is going to feel the same way! Good for her!
