And 'he' tried justifying the fuel tax increase by saying the price of crude oil has dropped. What a joke!
Yeah, and all us vapers can afford that 40% tax because we're saving so money much compared to what we used to spend on smoking, right?

This is really the problem with politicians of almost all stripes: They regard the people as little more than livestock on a tax farm.

Found a timely op ed piece about the current state of use taxes and internet commerce. States Fight to Enforce Online Sales and Use Taxes Seems that Colorado has the ball in their court as to being able to petition the Supreme court for a decision. Currently, use taxes go largely uncollected from internet sales. No surprise there.

Yep, last year he wanted substantial increases in both the state income tax and the sales tax, and the legislature told him: "No". He did get a substantial increase in fuel taxes though, and PA now has some of the highest motor fuel prices in the country. I have a couple of diesel vehicles with 700+ mile range. I make it a point to fill up in other states whenever I can, where I fuel is as as much as $0.50 a gallon less. I'm not a cheapskate, but $10 is $10.
Well, at least those taxes are more equitable than this nonsense.

Taxation is not know for it's equability, with this new PA 40% tax cigars were exempted, yet, they are part of the new FDA deeming. I also do not see hooka, pipe tobacco/components or for that matter any of the other products newly deemed by the FDA fall under this new PA tax regime. vaping is being targeted at all levels of government while other tobacco products will be exempt.

Pipe tobacco has been hit in the new PA tax regs though I'm not sure about tubes or packing/rolling machines. It looks like they missed the standard hookah itself but still apply new taxes to anything that can be smoked in one. They did leave out their precious all-tobacco cigars (that weigh over 4lbs per thousand). Actually said that for tax purposes - they aren't a tobacco product (but the coils for my Crown tank ARE, go figure). But nothing, nothing equals the all out attack on vaping products that the state of PA has unleashed on us.

But he got a deal for his home in Chicago from Tony Rezko.

"Obama paid $300,000 under the asking price for the house."

The Rezko Connection: Obama's Achilles Heel?

Rezko is in prison, along with former Governor Rod Blagojevich for using their connections on the state boards to demand kickbacks from businesses that wished to engage in dealings with the state. Six of our governors have been charged with crimes during or after their governorships; four were convicted. There's a certain governor from the Keystone State who I'd like to see in prison too.

Just pointing out that nearly every politician or political candidate is likely somewhat removed from reality. Reality tv stars included.
Does anyone remember when George W was out meeting the public and was absolutely amazed at a barcode scanner in a supermarket? He had never seen one before. This is after they were standard equipment in almost every grocery store.

Thought that was hilarious.

If you knew the facts, such as which Bush, your post might be more interesting.
