Are you having an error with it recognizing your evic or are you having an error when you hit update (it has recognized your evic)?

You could probably solve either by uninstalling any and all versions of MVR and reinstalling the newest one. Then just connect and hit update.

To set the homescreen in 1.2 you hold the ring to the left until it cycles to what you want instead of puff counter.

For some reason every time I try to update my evic to 1.2 it keeps saying error, anyone with this problem have a solution?

Side note: does anyone know how to set time and date on the main screen instead of the puff counter. I saw it on someone else's device at a shop.
I just got my evic today and I was getting an error too. Are you sure you are using the 1.2 MVR software? I downloaded the 1.0 software on accident and when I uninstalled 1.0 and installed the 1.2 software everything worked fine. Download it from here My Vapor Record V1.2 Beta for Win

Yeah, it's a problem with recognizing my device. So just uninstall and make sure I install mvr 1.2 right?

Along with trying the Run As Administrator, try powering off the device and then plug it in via usb. Seems as though the software is a bit wonky and when you plug the device back into the pc the software does not always see the device when it is powered on. With it in its off position using the Run As Administrator will reset the software to ask you whether you would like to Charge Only or Connect to Device. This worked for me with two separate devices. Then you can update it. This also worked for me when getting the Hardware Device Not Found error on the pc. Just something that worked for me.
