This post is to hopefully help maybe 1 person help quit the cigs.

Just a quick recap...I have quit now 1 month ago using a Jacvapor starter kit but since upgraded to an MPV2 with an Iclear30 duel and Pro tank 2 and if I had to do it again this is what I would do.

buy -

Vgo2 VV (Variable Voltage) Manual Starter Kit
Vgo2 VV (Variable Voltage) Manual Starter Kit - STARTER KITS - All Products
£53.99

This will give you -

Kit Contents:

1 x Nova Tank (these hold 2ml of e-liquid and can be refilled around 15 times each before the coil may need replacing). The tanks come with a 2.4ohm coil and 2 spare coils at 1.8ohms and 2.8ohms

2 x Vgo2 Variable Voltage manual switch batteries (3.3v - 4.8v). Choose either 400mah (74mm), 650mah (88mm) batteries or 900mah (105mm) batteries

1 x Instruction leaflet

1 x 4.2v Long lead USB charger for charging the Vgo2 VV batteries from a USB port (can be used with other Vgo2 manual batteries)

1 x Small travel case - The kit comes packaged in the case

Depending on the size of battery you prefer..400mah is great for going out as its so small but the 900mah ones will last you much longer before charging and better for home use.

The Nova tank is great and you can get spare coils very cheap to keep the cost down.

The variable volt is brilliant so you can adjust the hit to your taste.

A cheaper alternative and perhaps simpler would be to buy -

74mm Manual Switch Variable Voltage Vgo2 400mah Batteries
74mm Manual Switch Variable Voltage Vgo2 400mah Batteries - BATTERIES - All Products
£20

Blank Crystal Vgo Tanks (Long Wick)
Blank Crystal Vgo Tanks (Long Wick) - CARTOMISERS/TANKS - All Products
£3.49 x 3

USB Charger for the V3 or V3i - 5v
USB Charger for the V3 or V3i - 5v - ACCESSORIES - All Products
£5

This will give you a decent starter battery, 3 disposable tanks (if your not ready to change wicks yet....although you will eventually) and a USB charger.

With both of these you will need to get a USB Plug charger so you can charge the battery to the mains...you might already have one...I use our Ipad one!

Usb to mains adapter UK - 500ma
Usb to mains adapter UK - 500ma - ACCESSORIES - All Products
£6 (or £2.59 is you add it onto the starter pack)
If you havent got one.

You can use a discount code - ECR69 which will save 15% from Jacvapour.

You then just need Juice..

Home - Joose Juice E-Liquids is a brilliant UK supplier and you can either get 10ml bottles for £1.59 in loads of flavours (the menthol is great for menthol smokers...especially mixed half and half with Vanilla)

If the PG/VG content is confusing id recommend starting maybe 80% PG 20% VG...thats how I like it at the moment but you can adjust accordingly.

I wasnt a heavy smoker so I found the 18mg nicotine strength a good start..but you could start at 24mg to help stop and go down eventually..to even 0% nicotine!

If you buy the 30ml bottles (£7.25) you actually get one free and also with this 12% discount code - AAEC12 you get 12% OFF the 30ml bottles so 60ml will cost about £6.38!

That is all you need....I have no affiliation with either of the above companies but just speaking from my expierience which has helped both me and the other half be cig free for 32 days.

I have since bought myself a ITASTE MVP V2.0 CARBON BLACK - iTaste MVP V2.0 Carbon Black - Mods
£36
Which is AMAZING for home use and has a 2600mah battery which lasts for AGES before it needs charging.

Good luck if your tying to stop and there is LOADS of other ways, batteries, tanks from other websites and with some reading on this forum you will find them.

One word of advise with the Jacvapour products they use a 808 connection on their tanks and batteries which doesnt work with most other UK suppliers (they are 510 connections) but no point in confusing yourself with that too much if you just want to STOP smoking!

Vaping is the future.

m00sey.

..what are you like.... :)

I don't agree with you. You know that.

I wish I had known this BEFORE I spent £100s on two ecig kits.

Why go for more expensive and non-compatible when the same kit is available in 510/eGo?

JacVapour is good. I started there, but in fairness, if you are the type of person likely to go on to upgrade then JacVapour might not be the best choice.

I know it worked for you, but I have to balance out your enthusiasm here. Sorry.

I know DJS, thats why I put the warning about the connection at the bottom.

Its not bothered me one bit though as I use my JV batteries and tanks separate to my MPV2 and 510 tanks.

No doubt new users will upgrade their battieries, tanks and then onto MODs...like me! But it doesnt make your original purchase worthless.

The post is to help a brand new guy perhaps help stop, its SO confusing to start talking straight away about 510/808 connections and to STOP smoking..you really dont need to worry about it.

I can only talk about my own experience obviously and it helped me stop smoking...if I can help 1 other guy too thats great.

I cant put up a post about EGO twists, spinners etc as I have no experience of them..perhaps they are much better than the JV VV batteries....I dont know.

My original post is my opinion and if your in the UK and want to stop it might work...it did for me.

I will say at the moment im on my JV 900mah VV with nova tank only because im waiting for my MPV2 to charge though! ;)

Ok for balance you could go for -

ITASTE VV V3.O KIT
iTaste VV V3.O Kit - Starter Kits
£29.99

Kit Contents

1 x iTasteVV 800 mah variable voltage / wattage battery
5 x iClear16 dual coil clearomisers
1 x Micro USB charging cable

As above with the Juice!

Not tried the Itaste VV but from the reviews and posts on this forum it is supposed to be EXCELLENT and also a great option to start with.

myepack is who I got my MPV2 from and is also in the UK and from reviews/posts are an excellent UK supplier.

This in reflection would probably be a better option for a 1st time buyer but just goes to show im neither very experienced myself and also how many options there is!

ps. is that ok DJS? :)

Oh and great post, it's all good. I wish I'd started on the APV's before throwing money at other stuff, but other stuff sometimes works. I took a lot from your post, and will be investing in the MVP, just think I'll wait rather than borrow to get it. They look like a nice bit of kit, and for that price it's an almost no brainer!

Well the MPV2 is brilliant for home use for vape and battery life but you do need 1 or 2 other (preferably VV) batteries also as back up or take out and about I find.

With what ive got at the mo im hoping will last me many months..staying off the cigs is the key and it seems everyone is different in what they need.

The key things id imagine are A/ a variable volt battery so you can get your preferred hit....B/ juice you like and C/ the nicotine strength.

There are so many devices about you would be very lucky to get it right straight away, im happy with all my purchases so far!

I find most of the people I vape with at work use Ego style stuff - they don't know there's a bigger array of gear available. Promoting more choice is never a bad thing, but I've found the natural progression is cig-like, then if you quit, Ego, then if you still like it, Mods.

I say I wish I'd lept in at the Mod stage, but would I have, really? I'm not sure reflecting. Batteries (bane of my life) a charger, a Mod, a tank, and liquids, then the cost (versus a cheaper starter kit, Ego or otherwise)

I know what you are intending to do but sometimes the natural progression needs to happen, it's like natural selection in a way. The ones that WANT to vape, will - and will find better methods to vape. The ones that are semi curious might try a petrol station e-cig and quit for good, or chalk it off as "rubbish" and go back to smoking (I think this is your intended audience, i.e. there's far better than that)

Still, education is a must here - there's too much choice really. My head spins at times trying to keep up. Your post shows there is a good, relatively cheap, alternative and as you say...if it helps one more person quit then it's a win win.

:D

Thanks Vapoor...I even use the little cartridges I got with my original purchase to go out with as you can guarantee no leaks and its tiny on the 400mah manual non VV battery I have.

Stick on a cartridge, turn battery off using the 5 press and throw it in your pocket...to be honest its abit rubbish compared to when you have a a VV battery and tank....but its very handy.

I recall a thread where maybe we were being a little pushy :vapor: Now when a new vaper posts it's your turn to be "pushy" :D It's all good my friend and just so glad everything is working out so perfectly for you. Your OP post includes EVERYTHING at a great price. Kudos and the Best of Luck

DJS....Ive just ordered some Black Gold...should be here next couple of days!

Is your "beast" the MPV2? thats what I called mine...maybe saw you call it that!?

Edit...14 Watts! thats NOT the MPV2...wowzers thats a strong vape!

No, that's not MVP. It's on a mechanical.

To be honest, I think it's unlikely to see the light of day again.

I might put the poor thing (the modified Protank) back into action with regular 1.8ohm head.
