Hello everybody!

Im new to vaping and i got my eRoll like 2 months ago and i use it everyday as my PV. However i feel like everyone else use their eRoll as a backup PV / Secondary PV. I was wondering did you guys start with the eRoll as a main ecig? do you have another ecig like an ego-C or Provari and use that mainly but go back to the eroll as an "On The Go" ecig?

Im thinking about an upgrade probably to an Ego-C but I cant see why I should go for an upgrade.. lol the eRoll does the same thing as the ego-C and its more stealth (which i like very much).

Thanks :)

Hi there!

I started vaping at the end of March--the eRoll was my first PV purchase after I tested the waters with Blu disposables. I used it exclusively for 2 months and was very satisfied with my purchase. I still recommend it as a great cig-a-like option for people who want one.

When I decided to upgrade last month, I originally was waiting for the Halo Triton variable voltage but got tired of waiting. I ended up going for the eGo Spinner (1300mAH) and some EVOD tanks, and am also very happy with that purchase. I will definitely be getting more batteries, as these are throw away (supposedly good for about 300 charges). I was really blown away by how much more vapor I got with the variable voltage (and I was impressed with the eRoll!).

I was specifically looking for a rainbow color and got the one I have from AltSmoke, but the kit below is a really convenient way to buy since it has everything you need in one place (I accidentally forgot the charging cord and ended up picking it up at a B&M). You get your choice of 2 batteries and two tanks in one kit. I will likely go here for my next eGo purchase--:

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

Tried and true, and I think you'll really like the step up!

At the beginning of June, I got a Zenesis2 carto tank hybrid, which was my luxury, last-forever purchase--just because I wanted one. It's built like a tank and a work of art. I use it and the spinner most of the time, with the eRoll to help with the occasional "need" for the cigarette feel. I still love the eRoll, even if it isn't my everyday PV anymore.

I have been vaping for over 3 years now and have picked up a nice collection of PV and APV's, in my collection I have eGo T's, eGo C's, Lava tube mini, Z-Max, Joytech eVic, Vamo v2 & iTaste MVP.

I'm sure I've missed a few but you get the point, used so many different tanks and clearomizer's such as CE2's, CE4's, CE5's, DCT Tanks, Boge carto's, Viva Nova's, iClear 10, iClear 30, iClear 16, Kangar MT3's, Kangar Protank, Genesis RBA's.

I did pick the eRoll up as a backup, and even though I have a large choice of PV's and Attys to choose from, I still use the eRoll almost exclusively to anything else I own, for example the first thing I do in the mornings is take my eRoll PCC case of charge, and have a few quick vapes on my eRoll, or sitting at my computer with my vamo and eRoll in easy reach, what do i go for?

My eRoll!

I don't look at the eRoll as a downgrade, I look at it as a device that dose what I want when I want without any hassle, don't get me wrong this dose not mean I wont buy anymore APV's or tank systems but the eRoll ticks all the right boxes, to say I'm pleasantly surprised these past two months with the eRoll is an understatement.

In answer to your question, if I never had anything else and was looking to upgrade and size/form factor was not an issue, I would go for a Vamo v2 or iTaste MVP, with a Kangar Protank, or Viva Nova.

I've been vaping for 9 months and started with the ego C upgrade along with a Vamo and mini vv usb passthroughs. I started with the eroll last month and much prefer it. I like the feel of a cigalike and the auto draw. Also, in order to get the same hit the eroll gives, the ego C has to be used in unregulated mode (orange button) or via usb... they're passthroughs. The only time I use any of the others now is for a particular juice I prefer in those with cartomizers or when I chain vape low or zero nic.

Don't you think it strange after so long believing that we can only get a satisfactory vaping experience, by getting bigger and more advanced PV devices, tried/owned many of them, a lot of us in this thread are saying how much we prefer the eRoll for it's ease of use, vaping should not be complicated :)

I would be more upset if my eRoll stopped working than any of my other devices.

I guess it's up to you what to use and when etc.

There is a lot of love for the e-roll on here, which I don't personally understand. However, the point is to keep vaping, not smoking and go with what does the job. I don't necessarily agree that all devices are the same. An eGo battery with a low resistance clearomiser might produce a more satisfying experience and the right clearomiser might negate the need to refill so often.

I try to use a VV device as much as possible; that way I can turn up or down the power.....much in the same way as sometimes I might have gently puffed on a cigarette or sucked on it like a crazy person under stress and in need of nicotine.

I never started with the eroll however I did purchase it with the intent of having it be the secondary device. I use an ego & vivi nova mini tank most of the time. The eroll is mainly for when I'm out & about and I like it for that purpose. But if you like the vape I see no reason to change for something bigger.

I use the ego & vivi nova mini tanks but I do that because I can rebuild my coils with those rather than buying new atty heads. So this cuts down on the consumables expense for me & I can spend that money on something I actually WANT to spend my money on. I think you really just need to think about what you want & decide based on that whether you should upgrade.

For me, I like that eroll for performance a lot. But I also like having rebuildable attys because it allows me to save money in 1 area so I can spend it on something I do want....like a cool tank or PV.

Since quitting smoking just over 2 months ago I've been using the e-roll. Yes it needs re-filling/charging often but that's not a problem for me. The only (slight) problem I do have with it is that the atomizers don't seem to last very long before you need to replace them, other than that though I'm very happy with it. :)

The eRoll atomizers (Ego C style) are very easy to clean and reuse a number of times. There are a few posts about this, but just in case someone has not seen them, here is a video: VaporChase Tutorial - How to Clean an eGo-C Atomizer - YouTube

I do not go through all of the steps. Here's what I do about once a week when my atomizer starts having a hard drag and the flavor falls off or disappears completely:

1. I drop it in a shot glass with isopropyl alcohol and let it sit overnight. (This is to loosen up the wick, which might be gunked up and stuck to the coils.
2. The next day I take the spike off the coil. It not glued in and it is very easy to wiggle off with a set of pliers. (I prefer pulling with pliers rather than prying with a small screw driver, because the latter method has a tendency to warp the coil cylinder and make the atomizer hard to get back into the battery snugly.)
3. Then I use a small screwdriver or toothpick to scrape the coil a bit and loosen up the burnt e-liquid caked onto it.
4. Then I drop the two pieces back into alcohol and let sit over night.
5. The next day, prior to putting the spike back onto the coil, I do a dry burn using my eRoll. I simply put the half-atomizer (just the coil piece) onto the eRoll battery and then cover it with the atomizer cone. Then I stand in front of a mirror and blow into the LED end of the eRoll. I do this about 4 to 6 times, each time for about 3 to 5 seconds. I continue until all of the caked on e-liquid is burnt off and I can start to see the coil glow bright red.
6. Then I put the atomizer back together and it is back into my rotation.

I've been doing this for the past two months and I have still only used 2 atomizers. Both are still in my rotation. (I did break one when I didn't do step one...the wick was stuck to the coil and it came out of the spike when I pulled the spike out. I saved the two pieces, though, and I will make a stainless steel wick.)

There are a lot of other possible steps one can take. But this takes me about 3 minutes each night and it seems to work very well.

For what it's worth.

[EDIT: I just noticed there is an entire thread below on "bringing back to life" the eRoll atomizers. My apologies. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/joyetech-eroll-mini/492860-bringing-atomizers-back-life.html]

Cheers for that, I'll give it a go.

I tried a variation of the cleaning method above once I was not getting a good draw and TH. Cleaned and dry burned than tried again. Works wonderful again! I am going to try to clean regularly so to extend life as long as possible. I will be ordering some Biansi iMist replaceable wicks and see if they work also - I don't want to mess with making my own.

if you are looking for an upgrade, try and ecab. Holds more juice, voltage is 3.7(most ego at 3.3v), longer battery life, little better flavor than an eroll. Uses the ego-c atomizer

The power of suggestion ...

My Ecab was delivered today, according to USPS tracking. Its waiting in my mailbox ...

Wonder what it'll be next month ?

I started with an eGo C. Tried a few others. Really enjoyed my eGo C with various tanks. When I got the eRoll, I put them all in a drawer. A few months ago my eRoll PCC died. I almost cried. I switched back to the eGo and the tanks I had in the drawer while I waited for my new starter kit to arrive. And since it came in the mail, I don't even know where my eGo C batteries are. Some of them are in my car, some are still in the bag I carry every day. I don't even care. I bought a new eRoll PCC and some spare parts so that I don't have to go back to "normal" vaping ever again.
