Heya ECF Folks,

Thanks to help I found here, I've been smoke free for several months now. So, thanks for that. I'm a healthier, happier person already.

I started out with a basic Ego-C kit, tested out clearomizers, tanks, drip-tips, etc. I'm currently at the point where I can meet my needs with vaping, but I'm constantly annoyed by the equipment I have. I want something with less hassle.

I'm serious about continuing to vape, so I'm not afraid to spend a little money for the right setup. I don't care how it looks or how big it is. My concern is only for functionality and not having to tinker. Maybe you folks can point me in the right direction again.

I've been looking at mods like the Reo, which seem durable and low maintenance. Any suggestions in that regard?

I don't want to continue messing with tanks/cartridges/clearomizers. And I want something which involves less finesse than dripping, so I can easily vape in my car or between classes. I understand that, at some point, atomizers will always need to be replaced. I just want less annoyance between those times, cleaning and tinkering and cleaning up leaked juice.

I'd also very much like a larger battery than my 650 Egos. Tired of having to rotate them on the charger if I'm having a heavy vape day, or always be worried that I will have forgotten to charge one before a long day away from the house.

Am I asking for too much? What's the most bomb-proof delivery method that will deliver good flavor and lots of warm vapor from a variety of VG/PG configurations, with minimal fiddling involved? Thanks for any help.

-Nick

i would honestly say a vivi nova tank would be the least hassle mess free way to vape..... as far as mod to put it on, that is all up too you... i like it on the lavatube, ego batts, box mods, bottom feeder, darwin with adapters, the options are endless.

the other option for delivery method would be a rebuild-able atty like the DiD.....

if im not mistaken the reo is a bottom feeder, which are nice and give a drip taste with a atty attached.... but there is usually still a mess from time to time. as its hard to tell how much juice is being pumped with each squeeze. i personally use the boge revolution v2 bottom feeder and its leak free but when grabbing for a stress re-leaser, if i squeeze too hard i get flooding in the atty.

I suggest a quality 2 piece ecig, Greensmoke. Quit a 35 yr 2 pack a day Newport 100 addiction on this product. Not the cheapest cig, likely the most expensive but consistent quality every drag.

I don't understand people smoking out of tanks and whatnot....not very convienient...I can smoke these anywhere, anytime and do.

NO CLEANING, NO MESS........

great vapor.

Techwipe - I'll keep that in mind. I do know that a bigger tube APV (with consistent voltage) would help some of my issues. My batteries lose charge so fast, and quality of vapor declines rapidly.

But I'd like to know more about the other delivery systems out there and how effective they are. Anything closer to dripping would be better IMO. Less things to break, clean, replace. I'm wary that getting a bigger, more expensive tank system may not be the answer I'm looking for.

Edit: Whoa, several posts while I was replying. Thanks guys, will consider your input.

GS longer auto battery lasts all day (20-25 cigs or so).....the shorter battery goes about 5-6 hours (10-15 cigs or so)

The charge time isn't great about 3-4 hours if its down low but I switch out batts before that happens and usually have an ecig sticking out of a USB port on my pc for about 90 minutes to top off the charge.

GS gets their prefilled carts from Johnson Creek (US manufacturer, definitely better quality then most).

Gonna throw in another vote for a Vivi nova. I like the minis though I find the regular ones to be a bit to large for me. I am currently running a vmax and a mini vivi and its pretty hassle free. I clean em between refills and replace the heads when needed but other than that theres no muss no fuss.

Eventually i will upgrade to a provari more than likely. But for now the Vmax is working just fine.

The day I gotta work at a habit I enjoy is the day I don't exist, lol. Smoking is an indulgence, its not supposed to take work to make it work.

I like no hassle just lemme hit my great tasting nicotine....no mess, no fuss.....and definitely no weirdo lookin tanks and monster sized shiznit. My ecig looks real and tastes BETTER then my old Newp 100's. I quit cigs the same day I started actually.

(Safecig isn't too bad either but Greensmoke is definitely the king of the 2 piece ecigs)

Tanks? Smoking bakery crap? Fruits?

I find that most on here must not have had bad cigarette habits....I want a strong menthol with a throat hit....something as close to a real cigarette as possible (minus the 4000 carcinogens)..............

I wanna carry my ecig with me, anywhere.......I get that.

(18 mg nicotine MENTHOL ICE from GS, try it.....ur problems are over if menthol is ur thing)

I don't work for any ecig vendor....I own a pc repair shop.

Greensmoke e-cigs aren't that good, way overpriced and the vapor production isn't great. A friend of mine has one so I'm not just talking out of my .... Obviously you've never tried tanks either as they are much, much more convenient than using the carts that come with your Greensmoke.

Going from an Ego to a Greensmoke (or any standard 510/808) is a serious downgrade. If someone is going to go with that form factory they'd be better off with a Volt from Smokeless Image.

That's great that it worked for you, but there are options that are much better out there.

MentholZ - I started out with a similar kit, am not interested in that type of setup. Thanks though.

And I smoked a pack a day (newport) for about 12 years. Initially, I was worried about the tobacco flavor, and finding a decent menthol. Eventually I tried other flavors, found out I really didn't care for the tobacco flavors that much. Some do, some don't. Has nothing to do with how long or how much you smoked analogs.

Glad you've found an option that works for you.

you don't have local vendor? They can usually show you these things, hands on.

I live in the middle of nowhere, closest serious vendor (that I know of) is nearly two hours away. I do know a vendor who sells at a local market on weekends, but he only has Ego kits and a few DeKang flavors. Short answer: No.

Yeah, the Reo is a bottom feeder, which would be a new thing for me. You said you have the boge, how does that work for you with switching flavors? And how does it handle VG-heavy liquids? Some of my favorite flavors are VG-Only, and I do love the thick plumes of smoke. lol

Also, using the Reo (or other bottom feeder) with just an atty, is it really that common to make a mess/over-squeeze the bottle?

I like the concept of just putting in a bottle, squeezing it a few times, and vaping. Changing out my atomizer if it goes south on me.

Well Sir there is just so many good devices out there. Me myself like a good varriable voltage device like a provari mini or vmax or lava tube there is even a mini in all these now I think? These are all great devices Myself I'm vaping on a loaner lava tube since my main portion of my vaping supplys were stolen. It's a great device all the way across the board, i'm useing a 6ml raptor tank on it and I love it. As far as set ups if your want conveinance go with a vivi nova tank or Dfw vapors Ra Tank they are both rebuildable tanks and have great taste to them also check out the Raptor tanks. plus they are not hard to maintain, the Ra tank being the easier of the two. plus the Ra tank will be cheeper for supplies to rebuild as well. I would suggest that you check in your area for up comming vape meets where you can go and check out all the different devices in your hands and even get in a test vape. At a vape meet there will be alot of different vendors with different stock so check it out. you defenatly don't want to rush out and buy a pv your not going to be happy with.....

I was in pretty much the same boat as you. I wound up getting the Provari, and use it with cartomizers. Fill up a few carto's, and your good for the day.

I ordered 4 batteries, and 50 of the Boag carto's.

The best thing about the Provari is that it will give you the exact same hit every time all the way until the battery needs to be re-charged.

To me, that was important because with the other devices I've tried, as the battery got lower, so did the hit, and that made me start thinking about smoking a cigarette.

I keep a couple EGO batteries handy in case my Provari ever falls off a cliff and dies on impact...:)

If that ever happens, I will only need the EGO batteries until I order and recieve another Provari.

Well the most hassle free method is to just buy pre-filled cartos and chuck them when they go dry. Ah yes, and you thought cigarettes were expensive. Guess what I'm trying to say is that a good vape normally comes at a price, and that price is a little 'fiddle factor'. Doesn't matter what method you choose that fiddle factor will always be there to get the device to work the way you want it to.

The Reo that you eluded to is a good way to vape. The bottom feeder is a proven concept, and the Reo is well thought out and well made. But, that does not mean that the first atomizer you choose to use will be the perfect one for you. (and it will probably be a different one than I like)
The Nova tanks that many suggested are also a good choice, but again, you will need to try all the different volt/ohm combinations, and different wick configurations to find what you like. (and it will probably be a different combination than what I like)
There are tube mods, box mods, big mods, small mods, wood mods, metal mods, chrome mods, painted mods, mechanical mods, fixed voltage mods, vv mods and vw mods. Now you know why there are over a 1,000 different kinds of cigarettes to choose from.
In the end, only you can choose what is the right setup for you.

    I will pass this along tho;
I can get just as satisfying a vape from my $20.00 SD Keyring as I get from my $200.00 ProVari, and the 'fiddle factor' was equal to finding the satisfaction that I wanted.

A bottom feeder sounds like a great fit for what the OP is looking for. It does take a bit of practice learning how to squeeze the bottle but its not difficult and pretty easily learned :) Yes, it is possible to over squeeze BUT with a little practice that should happen very rarely. I've had a Hogmod for over a year (they arent being sold now) and I cant remember when I last overfilled to give you an idea of how often it happens to me :) Reo's have a great reputation. I prefer the the feel of a wood boxmod over a metal one but thats all in personal preference. If long battery life is important to you then a bottom feeder with a 18650 battery is the way to go. Good luck in your search for your new vaping toy :)
