Upgrade to twist or mod?

I have evod starter kit. I can see ego style batteries working for me on car rides and short trips around town.

For home use though, should I go with an ego twist style or vv/or vw mod or mech mod?

Rebuilding coils doesn't scare me at all. When I'm home, it's about the nicotine (6-18mg as I'm still experimenting) and the flavors.

Just spend $20-30 on a twist or save $50-100 minimum for a mod and all the accessories I.e. batteries, chargers, atomizers etc.?

MVP 2 s what everyone is going to suggest. It does it all and has a quality build at a low price. I haven't used one yet but I have been around here quite awhile and I see many of the trusted vets around the forum recommending them all the time. I am even considering getting one. I Know some place has it on sale right now for 49.99. It doesn't use replaceable batteries so you won't have the added expense of a charger and batteries. Check it out and see what you think.

Read the same things about the MVP 2 and I'm in total agreement. Sounds like a good buy for what I'm looking for right now.

I can see by little research (and a lot of mod envy) that getting into mods can be both a great hobby and expensive. A nice small financial footprint with the MVP 2 seems logical. Thanks

I have both. The Spinner Twist requires me to check resistance and set approx voltage (see Kanger instructions), adjust for taste from there, takes forever to charge at .420A. Nice piece just the same.

The Vamo in RMS mode just works and charges, well, w/my charger, faster w/almost 3X the battery. You gotta lug it around tho

Best bet next to a Provari at 1/3rd the price is my understanding.

I keep my flavors in different cartos so I'm switching often.

Didn't think about twist charging times. Almost not worth it to only have one. Have to think about buying two at the least.

Thanks for that. Before I found out about mech mods the MVP 2 was my go to upgrade. The internal battery meant no money spent on batteries and chargers. Seems like the next step for me.

My buddy started me out with a Twist and I still use it as backup, but after that I went to a Vamo V2 and am very happy with it. You can get a nice kit that comes with the Vamo V2, Nitecore I2 charger, and 18650 battery from Fasttech for around $50.

I have a 1300 vision spinner and it is nice.
But i found a great deal on the itaste vv3 and whoa!
So one week later i just ordered the mvp2
I will be giving away all my old ego batteries.

The twist will be my new back up.
The vv3 and mvp2 are just a new level.
I love the classier look of the vv3.
It looks nice sitting on a table.

My egos reminded me of a dang needle lol, my teens have commented on me looking like a breaking bad wanna be.

It even looks nice,with a simple,carto on it.
I also notice,that some cartimizers i didnt like, i like now, using the wattage setting helps a lot.
Apparently i necer really mastered that sweet spot in the spinner.

I also like that its a pass thru.
Also cool is my car charger works for it as well, so even if it dies on the road, just plug it in and vape.
I like the led screen, sometimes in a dim lit room or in the car,mthe spinner is impossible to read.
The led screen is nice.

Before getting a mech mod, it's very important to do your homework. Read the rechargeable batteries page, Baditude's blogs, read up on mechanical mod safety, watch some videos on mechanical maintenance, own a multimeter and use it to regularly test your batteries, atomizers, and mod. Remember, with a mech mod, you're the only safety feature. If you're going to do it, do it very carefully.

The MVP2 also works as a pass-through, its a nice feature so you will never have any downtime. If I could only own 1 vaporizer setup, its a no brainer as to what I would pick I've previously owned a SVD and Vamo V2, those worked great but as soon as I got my MVP, I sold one and gave away the other. Its so much easier for me with my limited desk space to be able to just use the same charger as my cell phone as opposed to needing a separate charger and batteries.

That would be my recommendation also--if you want a bigger mod.

If you just more features, I recommend iTaste vv.

Battery capacity is expressed in mAh (milliAmpers)--the higher the number, the longer the battery will last. The very rough estimation is that 100 mAh equals 1 hour of vaping--but that's a bit optimistic.

if you wanted to get something to last you a long time i would recommend you get a MOD VV/VW will give you a more consistent vape but you will not be able to take them sub-ohm. On the other hand, mechanical mods will give you better battery life(doesn't have to power additional things) and you can do pretty much anything with them even though i would stick to the low-res carto/atomizers or RBAs. if you wanted to go under low-res into sub-ohm you could with a mechanical MOD if you have the right battery. The KeCig K101 or SmokTech Magneto are highly reputable mechanical MODs.

Well if you pick Mod you should look here: https://www.fasttech.com/
The most expensive one is the Innokin iTaste 134 at $107 but you can get others for less like the Innokin SVD for $37 or the Lava Tube is in the $30s too, and they deal in names like eGo, Vamo, Smoktech, KSD, Kangertech, ect. These guys here can tell you which one is the best deal or the better Mod. I'm new and pretty much clueless but they seem to have some good prices. Be careful of batteries make sure you read or ask other members about what kind you should get and about ordering them from a different country. I think some people had to wait longer for delivery when they did, but not sure about that.

Me I just got a ProVari, starter kit is at $209 but the Mod itself is $159.
