I was getting tried of My mod falling over, the battery not fitting, the button getting stuck, the body heating up due to resistance. No longer! I think the driver board in the V2 is decent when it can run off two batteries, so I present it's new home. A heavily fortified soldered inner brass case with beefy aluminum covers. It has 2 x 18650s for 7.4v with protection pcb and recharge port. I put a bunch of holes in the bottom so if it needed to "vent" it will go in that direction. It should be ubgradeable into the future. It puts out 20w but only drives down to 1.3 ohms with this board. I used an anti-vandal switch, they look cool and are sturdy. It's on the big side at 3.5" x 2.8" x 1" but a huge improvement functionally over the old tube.

She is not that pretty but built like a brick house. Impact resistant design only leaves the floor to worry about. :) :vapor:

I am amazed at how much more efficient this setup is over a single 18650. Before, I got 1 day of use and had to recharge and my charger took 6 or 7 hrs to charge the battery. Now it runs for 5 or 6 days and my smart charger only takes 3 to 4 hrs to recharge at 1200ma. This board bucks WAY better than it boosts. :vapor:
