Like a lot of people on here (from numerous posts I have read) I started with a Blu starter kit about a year ago. Had no idea what vaping was and saw the add on a side bar while browsing the internet. I was won over by the sleek look and portability of it all. Since starting smoking analog ciggs when i was 18 I have pretty much detested my stinky habit but never been able to kick the nicotine cravings. For a while I tried using Hookah as a alternative and that worked for a while will I got involved with a woman(now my wife) that had a pack and a half day habit and smoked in her house. Inevitably I pick back up the cigg habit after 6 months clean(other than hookah). Anyways, back to topic, my well marketed yet poorly engineered Blu pack and batteries pooped out after about 3 months of moderate usage. They did keep me from smoking analog, even with the frustration of non working cartomizers, switching batteries constantly, and waiting for a battery to charge. I thought about sending in the batteries to take advantage of the year warranty, but it would have been 2-3 weeks to send them in and then for them to process and send back new ones. By then I was back on analog and not wanting to deal with the hassle. This month I had enough money to get another kind of e-cig kit so I started researching. I had the Halo G6 system picked out as it had many good reviews and prices were not too bad. Fortunately, I am a very apprehensive person when it comes to spending a good chunk of change and kept researching. My research went from e-cig into vaping and oddly enough that is when I found this site(I say oddly because it's name is e-cig related). After reading many a post on starting up and product reviews, coupled with many a youtube review I decided to move away from the "looks kinda like a analog cig" type system and went with a 1000 mAh ego twist starter kit with a clearomizer and a 900 mAh of the same type as a back up battery. Since I enjoyed the Blu flavors I went with some Johnson Creek juice to start off with. Ordered everything on the 13th and just got both packages today! I was like a kid in the candy store opening everything up. So far I am enjoying the, to me, massive upgrade. These products seem about 1000 times better than what I started with and I am betting I will have no trouble staying away from the analog and enjoying the many flavor options not available in analog. If anyone has any AMAZING flavor options and good US made juice providers don't hesitate to let me know. Thank you!

Congratulations on making the switch again! That's how I felt about my eGo when I first got it too, 1,000 times better than the blu disposable I had used. I'm still new to all this, but you should check out Mt. Baker Vapor for juice, the flavors I've tried so far are great, and they have excellent customer service and shipping times.

Congradulations!
I enjoy the Ego type batts, and find plenty of accessories for them (not that I have them). I started with a VV V-tube, and actually went backwards to the Vision 1100mAh. It is just hassle free vaping. I bought a few clearo's (only $6 each), put in a different juice for each one, and just change them out when I want a different flavor.

Congratulations on making the new jump, hope your new kit works out for you. I made the jump to the Vision Spinner (A lot like the Twist) after having a Lavatube and I gotta say I like it better, more portable and looks sleeker.

Might I recommend Heather to you? Heathers Heavenly Vapes, Top Quality Custom E-Liquids Gandalf is a pretty popular flavour with the vapers I know and it's one of my favourites, I hear the whole purity tobacco line is good but I favour Gandalf and Gollum.

Edit: Gandalf is now called Legend and Gollum is now called Sludge.

Hi Nick,
Thanks for sharing and GL on your journey. Juice and taste is very subjective but my advice would be try as many different vendors as you can and try to buy sample packs if the offer ( most do) then if you like you can order larger bottles of it.

I have the V2 kit right now but I want to return and get the ego twist. Where did u guys get yours? I want to buy carts and then refill...I def don't want to drip its just not my thing. Adheres a good starter kit site and possibly a discount code too! If I save my V2 carts can I use them on the twist?

Welcome, congrats, and all that kind of good stuff. Good choice of upgrades form what I hear. I haven't tried the eGo Twist myself but many people here swear by them and it's perhaps the most recommended starter kit. I do know from experience that Blu is no good except as an emergency e-cig available at a local pharmacy to get you through a hard time when your other one dies or some other incident. Best wishes to ya. I'm sure you'll be much happier with your new kit.
