Upgrading from an eGo-T to an eVic. Should I expect a significant improvement in my vaping experience?

As the title says, I got off the fence and finally decided to get an e-Vic. I jumped on the amazing deal being offered at Vaportek USA on a e-Vic kit for $65.99, couldn't resist it at such a price. Anyway, I started with a Joye 510 and then immediately moved to an eGo-T and have been using that as my only e-cig exclusively for 7 months now.

For those with the experience, how much of a difference can I expect with my new PV? The eGo-T is fine and all, but I have been seriously craving something with a better draw, better vapor and cleaner hits (not to mention improved juice taste). Will the e-Vic live up to these expectations coming off the eGo-T? As far as the gizmos and extras on the e-Vic, I have read where many people think they are unnecessary, but I am a tech nerd and I know exactly what I am getting into on that front and fully embrace the bells and whistles...and love the fact that firmware updates will continuously improve and add features to the device. I am posting this to mainly get impressions on the actual vaping abilities of the device.

All I could find as far as comparisons is to other PVs like Provaris and Vamos (which I have never used or even know much about), but never in comparison to the standard entry-level vapes. The Joye 510 and and eGo-T are the only e-cigs I have ever used and the only references I have.

Thanks for any input you guys can provide!

You'll gain the ability of variable voltage/wattage. This will allow you to adjust the heat at the coil, producing more/less vapor & throat hit. Some flavors tend to have their own particular sweet spot as far as wattage goes, so you'll be able to play around and find that for your favorite liquids.

It will have longer battery life than an eGo-T too. And with removable batteries, if the battery dies you just change it out. Whereas with an eGo style once the battery has reached the end of its usefulness, its no longer worth a thing. It also supports Pass-Through, so you'll be able to vape while it charges.

It however will not change the draw or cleanliness of the hits, as this is all accomplished on the delivery system end of things (atomizer, cartomizer, clearomizer, what have you).

If I'm not mistaken they did recently add the ability to adjust the wattage throughout the hit. Pretty interesting feature right there.

Hope this helps, congrats on your new purchase :)

I tend to use Stardust clearomizers, but have been looking heavily into getting some Viva Nova tanks....hear they are much better. As far as Variable Voltage and Variable Wattage, do they make a significant difference from standard settings I am used to? I suppose I will have to fiddle around with them to find out the best settings for my vaping preference, but I have no clue as to what settings to use with VV and VW. I surely don't want to fry my clearomizers and juice by setting too high.

There will be a world of difference voltage wise. I believe the eGos run a regulated voltage of 3.2-3.4 and will stay there until they need to be recharged.

But say your looking for more throat hit at the moment, you can dial it up.

Seems that sweeter flavors tend to taste better at lower voltages, and heavier tobacco/coffee type flavors at higher.

You also get a lot more room to play around with resistances.

All of this changes the wattage of the coil and the heat it will put out.

Thank you so much, very good information there. Sometimes I do crave a lot more throat hit depending on the specific juice I am vaping, so that will help out a ton! I was using PG/VG ratios of 70/30 and it gave more throat hit, but more of a 'scratchy' throat hit, so I moved to 50/50 and it eliminated that issue, but the throat hit could still use a bump.
