I've been vaping a Protank on a variable voltage ego for 2 years. I'm looking to upgrade.

First question, I noticed in the past few months all new juices I've tried have tasted harsh and chemically with no real flavor in my tank. I thought it was a problem with my setup, but I think that maybe new premium juices are designed for "mods"? Juices I used to vape years ago taste fine, but newer companies taste weird in my Protank.

I am looking to upgrade to something with better consistency and flavor. I'm tired of these Kanger coil heads being clogged, having duds, lasting anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks... and I wouldn't mind getting something with a much bigger cloud production!

Price is a concern for me. I was eyeing the Ego One by Joyetech. Do the .5 ohm heads on this produce significantly bigger clouds than my basic setup? Are you limited to just the coils that are sold, or is it able to handle sub tanks or anything like that? The price is what is has this one my mind.

Am I better off getting a cheap box mod?

I was really looking to spend 75 tops... but I can be flexible.

if you're really wanting "clouds" above all else you'll want to go sub ohm. Sub ohm will eat twice as much juice, and to save money you'll have to learn to build coils. Sub ohm requires a more powerful mod, VW/VV device. I don't sub ohm, yet.. but I really enjoy my iStick 50W($50) with a Nautilus Mini ($25).

Hi R211....how about the Istick 30 or 50 w?
I have the Istick 30w with a Nautilis mini tank and am very happy with it.

That is definitely something I am considering now, my only question is about the tank and the vapor production, I am looking for something that will produce big boy clouds. I'm not expecting the huge clouds my friend got off his dripper, but I want some thick ones. I'm worried that the Nautilus tank will be similar to my protank 3, do they both have dual coils and are they similar?

Your set up seems perfect, Do you know the cloud production vs my current set up? I just am afraid that tank is similar to my protank 3 dual coil which I hate.

Also, when I decide to get a Subtank will that fit on that I stick

The comparable Kanger product for the Nautilus is the Kanger Aero. I really like my Mini's (I have 4). Cloud production can be increased by using a high VG juice in any tank. I use a high pg 70/30 in my tanks because I chase flavor over clouds. I can tell a large difference in clouds when I use a higher VG juice in my tanks. I know with my coils, when they seem to get gunked up I just throw them in a shot of vodka (or rubbing alcohol) for a few days, jiggling them occasionally, and letting them air dry for a couple days. Then I reuse them. They aren't like new but they do really well. Regardless of what tank you use, you'll need a better mod/battery to progress to the next level of clouds/flavor, and I recommend the 50W (good down to .2 ohm coils). I prefer the Mini (vape around 12W) to the regular bottom coil tanks as the BVC coils are nice. I do use the mod with some lesser eGo threaded tanks as I switch flavors often, just by switching tanks.

Any quality sub tank will fit and work on the iStick 50W.
