Upload a recording to Garageband from my iPhone 8

I have an iPhone 8. I want to publish a song recording to Soundcloud, and I have read we can do it with the help of Garageband. But how do I upload my song directly to Garageband from my audio recorder app on the iPhone? I don’t have a computer at the moment.

Actually, it should be fairly easy. I've uploaded songs done in GB to Soundcloud. I've used it on the iPad, but should be pretty much the same on phone. There's a function in GB when you save the piece, that asks if you want to upload to Soundcloud. Can't remember exactly, but I think (?) it's part of the save menu. Then as long as you have a Soundcloud account you should be good to go.

Ahh...I've just re-read the original post and I see it was done on the phone and you want to upload to GarageBand first. My bad. I believe that is doable though. I think it would have to be uploaded to a iTunes folder, and from there GarageBand could access it. Hopefully someone will come along with more knowledge on that process than I have.
