Yeah - at this point just what we need is another nanny control freak telling us what is acceptable behavior and what isn't. I think not! Sorry, that position has already been taken by various parties in Congress, the FDA, CDC, ACS, ALA, TobaccoFreeKids, Glantz... got it?

We have already tried being all nicey nicey in our approach to this. If a bunch of rabble rouser's want to raise hell and block the entrances at the FDA for a couple few days to make a POINT - more power to them.

The industry may have to be all polite in Court fighting for themselves and tangentially for us in the process. As protesters we don't. Your very recommendations to, basically "be overcautious, best to do nothing" smacks of a conflict of interest and I think we have had enough of that at this point.

Whose side are you on anyway?:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Take a vape sweets. :) Farther down the thread Greg already admitted that the post left Facebook when he didn't expect it and it was aimed at vapers considering a particular event. And that's on him for not realizing that any and all news is traveling like lightening right now.

A couple of us from the forum had already talked about said event and showed some reservations because of who was running it and the lack of real organization. For example, the only place it's being promoted is on facebook and iirc the organizer pretty much ruled out trying to even create a webpage for it.

Take your Blood pressure Meds~ :glare: We need you around later for the important actions ahead:D

Seriously, there are middle roads which should be efficient for promoting our Stand on Personal Choice.:thumb:
We need to be collected enough to promote those messages without resorting to possibly destructive actions.(no fiery effigies......yet)

The point being that if Conely thinks we can make matters worse by some sort of "bad" protest action on our part he surely doesn't understand how any of this works. The real course of action now that will ultimately matter are the legal challenges. If we get a group together to express our, err..., "concerns" in any way we care to it may have no significant impact on the outcome of those challenges - but to sit there in silence waiting for "the right people" to tell us "the right way to do it" will never happen either. Telling us there is a "right" or a "wrong" way to express ourselves at this point tells me this guy has some serious Diva or control freak issues going on.

Get out in front of the parade and raise bloody hell if you want to. The only other option is to get run over by it. I would rather go out raising bloody hell, rather than with a tacit implication that a "polite" or nonexistent protest is a clear sign of acceptance. The time for a Sunday tea social with the FDA is long over.

So he puts up a cryptic and obtuse message up on FB, with a notation to "spread it everywhere", and then regrets actually posting it. Brilliant. Just :censored: brilliant.

Apparently he hasn't figured out yet how FB works either. Officially lost his Supreme Leader credentials.

Playing devil's advocate here, but are we even sure he posted the "spread it everywhere" line? That may have been someone on FB. It is just another giant form of the whisper game after all.

So you post:

Greg already admitted that the post left Facebook when he didn't expect it and it was aimed at vapers considering a particular event. And that's on him for not realizing that any and all news is traveling like lightening right now.

And now you're saying... what exactly? He's admitting to posting something - he didn't post?

Think I'm done.

Sorry, but I really don't see where you're getting that. The whole post was about the idea of acclimating non-smokers to the fact that vapor is practically odorless when compared to cigarettes, but doing it without being a jerk and treading all over a business owner's rights. Never once did I see where the author said vape em if you got em cause they have no odor.
Here is where every thing falls apart.
What makes people think the business owner would care?
MO money is MO money.

What makes people think one would have to be a jerk to
attempt such a stunt?

Why are people assuming the negative outcome and only the negative outcome?
At the very worst it's a fifty, fifty split.

Quit assuming what other people will do. Lets do it and see what happens.
There are no problems where vaping hasn't been banned.
I know, I read the papers.

Mike
