Even if it's made here in the US, I'd bet dollars to donuts most or all of the parts are made in China or elsewhere off-shore, and parts is parts that make the whole.

Maybe , but I believe some Provari electronic components come from China, too. I sent AELS an email asking about this.

Do you have actual knowledge of this or is it just your opinion/belief?

Can't speak for Vapeape but heard the Chinese have the patents. While they typically don't respect anyone elses, they do use the courts over here to enforce theirs.
They could be paying royalties and using the design or buying parts over there and assembling in the US. I believe they can legally say made in the USA if the final assmbly is here.

Well, pretty much all electronic parts are manufactured overseas. Even Intel has overseas design facilities.

It could be "assembled in the USA" or something like that. I doubt they built their own resistor, capacitor, __whatever___ plants just to make an e-cig.

I'm not that fond of "we have a factory in the USA so it's made in USA" ala the "imported" cars and such. I'm also not fond of "Imported from Detroit" campaign. Wrong message. But some of Detroit's parts are made outside the US too. Sad all the way around.

If they say that the e-cig is made in the USA... that's a plus for me, at least. It's something. There's at least 1 more job in the USA due to that decision, and I'd consider them over others if I were in the market for something in that class of e-cig.

They don't say what connection it has. And it looks like they are in the carto-refill-selling business. So you have to take feature into consideration too.

Just my humble opinion. Better than nothing.

Not the Chinese, but Ryuan, a Chinese company holds the patent. That is my understanding at least. So they would enforce their patent on everyone, including other Chinese companies. I may order one of these just to see what it is. Only $10 plus shipping. I think you may be correct about the claim with USA assembly, but it will be interesting to see what AELS says to my email.

Well as a wholesaler the only differences in what they have on there site, and what I have in stock is branding and packaging.
There is no way they can compete on things like wall adapters, batterys ,chargers and caromizers. Labor cost alone would be a deal breaker.
Now I have little doubt that they are mixing some of there own E liquid. The set up cost for that is low and profits are good.

Thanks for the input, but the only claim of Made in the USA is the Ecig, unless I missed the other item claims. AELS is an eliquid company that makes USA eliquid and have been in that business for some time. I heard about Durasmoke a few months ago from an AELS Newsletter, but it only said they were supplying their eliquid (as with JC and Blu). But today when I went to the AELS web site I saw the Durasmoke link and started reading about it. Note that AELS sells Joyetech ecigs on their site.
