I have been discussing this problem on another thread. I believe the pass-thrus draw more than 1000ma. I've been trying to find out from vendor/manufacturer the specs of the pass-thru but not having much luck. Mine works fine on computer but not on any of my 1000ma max adapters. I think I'm going to invest in a cheap 2000ma cigarette lighter adpter and try that. Haven't found a 2000ma A/C adapter yet. I see the output of that battery is only 350ma which is pretty low. If we could get the electrical specs from the manufacturer we could stop wasting money buying accessories that are not adequate to handle the device

I recently got a passthrough, but have had a battery pack for charging my batts for much longer.

Whilt it works perfectly charging the batteries, I was very disappointed that the pack did not power my passthrough.

We were discussing this on another forum and someone discovered with theirs that the battery pack DID work with the passthrough...... providing you didn't press the button and turn the battery pack on!

So, battery pack now works great with the passthrough!

Someone else (with a different type of pack) also found the same thing with theirs.

Incidentally, the pack output is 700mA

black & decker pocket power output: inverter 115vac/60hz,16w, 5vdc/350 ma on a 901 passthru, funny thing is the passthru dont not work on a car usb adaptor.

I have one of those, but since it refused to even charge my phone, I never considered trying it with a pasthrough. We ran into another solution. My husband has some power tools utilizing VPX batteries. He also has a couple VPX inverters which output 5v on the usb ports. They seem run the passthroughs the same as the powered usb hub does. The fact that he has a number of batteries here make it a great solution for me even though they are a little larger than the kensington.

I've been using the Kensington for about 3 months now. Always performs well and last about 1 1/2 days of moderate vaping. Got it on sale at Best Buy for $39.99. Not sure if it is still on sale but keep checking and when it is, get one. It's proven and is a great investment.

+2 on that - it will power a passthough for 2 days in my experience...
