usb passthrough

KR8 passthru's don't have a battery, the 510 ones do. It's unlikely it would damage a computer, the passthru would just die, but it can happen.

Can anyone tell from the spec's on this how much power(?) this things is capable of putting out?
Not sure if that's what I'm trying to say.

I use a passthru for a Kr8 from vapor 4 life. Was told when inquiring about a usb port for the car to make sure it has an output of 500mah or whatever.
Is the usb thing from that site in the link capable enough?

Yes justincase, this is rating at 2 amps which is plenty of current for the passthru.

Hey Justin, I have the V4L Passthru, and three of those dual port USB adapters. They ROCK! Buy it, you won't be dissappointed.

USB Power Adapter AC Dual Adapter
Does this mean I can plug this into a wall outlet and use my passthru without having a need for a computer?

Is this something that can be charged, then carry it around with my passthru?

Or, is this just like having a usb hub so I'm not connecting the passthru to my computer at the risk of frying it out as Joker has suggested?

Whatever the answer, I guess it really doesn't matter, as I have gone ahead and ordered one. Just would like to know.......
