USB passthroughs

Most of my vaping time is at night when im at the computer, so im thinking of getting a manula usb passthrough for my 510.. man so many questions recently thanks for all the help though!

my question is will the passthrough battery "die" like normal batteries after a while?

Get a 5v USB passthrough (no battery) and an AC adapter.

You will also want a USB AC adapter. I didn't see one on that site...

Please Note:
As this item needs a working current no less than 1300mA, it CANNOT work with some common AC-USB adapters or Car 12-24V adapters for USB chargers that provide only 500mA.

No. You will need an ac adapter rated at 1.3a or better.

Yes it can run off your computer but I have had some people tell me it can damage your computer so is best to plug it into a wall adapter but it must be the stronger adapter that Joe sent you link to.

They will if made right and hooked into a USB 2.0 port. Some people have reported problems when using a USB port on there computer. So safest bet and something that is dual purpose i recommend getting a 2amp USB hub to run the passthrew off. You can find them pretty cheap with free shipping on ebay. The plus side is you can also use any of your USB devices on it too.

MadVaps have the 2amp wall usb part and also a nice 5 ft passthru, much nicer that the normal 3ft sold at mose sites.

This adapter might work. If the 0.15 Amps is right after the 100-240V, that is a reference to the input current, not output current.

I'd say go for the 3ft cable. It has lower resistance, and gives you higher voltage at the atty terminals. Also refer to the output current. You want an adapter that says output: 5V 2.0A
A 2.0 A or higher should do the trick. If you get a passthrough with a battery, I believe the output voltage will be 3.7 V and not 5V.

Hey guys, this is just the tread I’ve been looking for,

Does anybody know why my passthrew light works fine (so am assuming the passthrew is in working order) when there is nothing screwed into it, but soon as I put an atty or cart on there and press the button, the light doesn’t work and no response, seems dead, have tried with 10 different atty and cart also have the 5v passthrew and have the same problem any ideas ?

I got very lucky and a PT was included in my order with my first ecig for free, it is the 510 version, and so far it works great, and works fine with my computer. I would like to post the site I ordered from, because they have good prices and treated me excellently so far, but I am not sure of the forum rules, sorry to threadjack, but can somebody give me a quick yes or no for mentioning sites?
