USB wall powered mod?

Hello wanting to build a usb wall charger powered mod. The wall charger output is 5v and 2amps.
I like this to be varable volt with a display.
Parts list and diagram would be awesome.

Budget? As cheap as i can LOL. As far as what chip i have no clue really. I seem some vids of people making battery box mods using the LM2596 boards but do not know if the wall charger would fire it up or not. I just hate using batteries in my vamo while i have constant power available to me.
On that note does anyone know if a 5v 2amp power source would work on a vamo board? Would be interesting if i could make a battery sized insert for my vamo that was a usb wall charger source. Just notch the extend tube so the cable would fit. So i could turn my vamo into a usb pass through sort of.

But would you have any info on if a lm2596 board would work wit ha 5v 2amp wall charger?

I've used this one to vape on with a silicon diode to drop vaping voltage to about 4.3 under load (1.5 ohm dual coil).
5 Volt DC Plug Power Supply, 4A, Regulated | MPJA.COM

Cool thanks for the link. I think am am going to use some thing like that and a lm2596 board to get the vv part. Add in a led display and am am where i want think. The lm2596 should even allow me to use a wide range of power supplies. Now if i could figure out how to build in a ohm checker for it.
