The one I made I used a dead ego battery case. I opened it up pulled the battery out and the switch went to radio shack and got a new switch 2/$3 the same ones madvapes sell for $ 2.29 each anyway.

I took a drill bit just slightly bigger the the usb cable and drilled a hole on the bottom to feed the cord through, I then took the black (neg) and soldered it to the cap I just drilled through as that is the neg even for battery then I ran the positive to one side of the switch and from the switch to the bottom of the carto connector and voila you have a 5v passthrogh. I did have to drill out the switch hole slightly bigger for the switch and when done wiring i fill the bottom of the connector with hot glue so nothing moves or shorts out.

it`s not enough, still need a charger IC for that batt, otherwise you will damage the batt in time, or may explode

I second this. You don't want that battery case to turn into a flare and explode while you are vaping. There has to be some regulation to keep the battery from overheating.

U guys are downright funny. I 2nd BJ43's comment.

As far as the OP PT question goes....

A) Make a choice... big fat 3+ amp button, or small button with 3+amp mosfet. Assuming big-fat-simple button:
B) Use a USB cable (thicker kind with heavier gauge wire is best. Shorter you can make it the better due to resistance)
C) Basically, wire it from center of atty connector->button/switch/mosfet->usb postivie wire.
D) USB ground to atty connector shell.
E) LED optional. U need a resistor for that. Wired from Button (on/off side)->LED->resistor->ground.

Use whatever enclosure you want. I used a 1xAA box. Good idea to reinforce/strain-relief the cord where it meets the enclosure. Seal well to make atty connector leak proof (use a sealed connector too).

He pulled the battery, why would you need a ic if there is no battery... This is a straight simple PT.

it`s a cheap and no good solution.USB from PC have 5V/500mah, for some atty/carto like dual coil 1.25 1.5ohmi it`s not enough. If use a IC charger+batt have Ibat+Iusb enough for everything

Many of us do not use the usb from the computer for our PT, we use sources with over 2amps, wallplugs, car cigarette lighter plugs, external battery packs, and for these there is no need for an internal battery or ic. I probably have not had used a battery in 1% of my over three years of vaping 14 hours a day. Made my first PT with a tire valve in 2008.

I made mine using a case off of a 12 volt adapter, a 3A switch, and a usb cable. No battery but it vapes like crazy. passtrough.jpg
