The taste may be weird. Did you run them dry? if so then the taste may be burnt. It's best to refill before they get dry and keep doing that until it gets weak or tastes bad, then toss it.

Is this the 2-piece safe cig? if so I think it is an RN4081 but Safecig may have the mouth-end caps as hard caps or glued on to make them harder to refill.
two examples of filling similar cartos - don't seem to be the easiest to fill
YouTube - REVIEW OF THE RN4081 / DSE 103 MANUAL BATTERY (ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE)
YouTube - Refilling the Supermini Ecigarette

And I think some 7-11's carry a 2-piece Njoy which should be the same model - I think it's cartos have soft caps and may be easier to refill by popping out the mouth-end cap and adding juice tot he stuffing.

WARNING - you probably have automatic batteries with an open hole on the threaded end. They can be killed by juice drips. if you plan to refill cartos I recommend MANUAL batteries. I think AZSMokeFree sells a manual RN4081 battery. And never refill a carto while it is on the battery. Clean up all drips and make sure itis no longer dripping before replacing on the battery.

I would actually recommend getting a more popular 2-piece model like KR808D-1 (Vapor4Life) - I can just pop the mouth end cap out of their cartos and add a bit of juice into the stuffing.

It is the same as the rn4081, the cap is not glued, and i seen that u do not need to remove it to refill, i used the carts till the burnt taste comes but not all the way dead, surely others have auto battery that they refill? As in my other post i was looking for value, i viewed that 5ml lasts a day, thats $4.00 at freedom smoke, my carts last a day and thats $2.50 at safe cig, maybe dripping is not cheaper?

The cartomizers for the safe cig are RN4081.I purchased some unfilled "blank" ones that fit my safecig batteries perfectly.I did notice that there were RN4081 "cartriges" also which do not have the built in atomizer.Be carefull not to order these as they will not work without an atomizer! The safecig cartomizers CAN be refilled. The easiest way I have found is to use a small wood screw and hand tighten it into the hole in the white plastic plug and simply pull it out. Then fill the wadding with your liquid of choice taking care not to over fill it. Over filling it will cause liquid to run out the hole on the battery side and into the battery, shorting it out,FUBAR. Never try to fill or top-off the cartomizer with the battery attached!!! I refill mine then stand them up(mouthpiece up,threaded side down) on a paper towel for a few minutes to make sure no excess liquid is running out. If there is liquid dripping onto the towel dry the battery end totally befor screwing the battery on.

Does a cart have to have a removable cap on the "user-end" to be refillable?

Typically yes it would help a lot. You can drip juice into the battery end of a carto usually and fill some of it back up though. I used to do it with the standard 510 cartos I used. One drop at a time until it stops being sucked down the hole so fast. Then shake the carto (make sure you cover both ends with caps or fingers). Let it sit for 10-15 min and then give it a try. Also make sure you clean any juice off the threads before putting back on your battery.
