I did a fair amount of research before I bought my first ecig, and after lots of positive reviews I decided on the Joye 510... That was almost 5 months ago. I was happy until last week... What am I doing wrong?
I started out using the stock cart filler, but it was OK at best. I tried "Fluval" but I didn't realize at the time (still a n00b) that I got the wrong "Fluval" it was the foam. Tossed that idea aside, because while it worked, my carts leaked constantly. Got a bag of polyfill and started using that. Worked wonderfully, but didn't drain. Added a straw mod. Worked great, drained great... for a while. Somehow it seemed to start not working as well. Someone turned me onto the idea of burning the top of the polyfill, and I did that for one cart, and it worked beautifully... Once. Since then, I've been having wicking issues left and right. I'm topping off my carts every 3 hits, and they're only taking 2 drops so I know there's a LOT of unused liquid in them still. Constantly unscrewing my atty and shaking it to get 1 good hit. Still getting burnt taste, and at it's best I'm getting wonderful vapor, but no flavor. Usually getting burnt flavor... bad enough that it burns the back of my throat and tastes like burnt cigarette filter.
I won't deal with a PTB, don't have the coordination, dexterity or patience to deal with those things. I've tried the "auto drip" mod. Found it here but don't know the link. I don't know what else to try, but what I don't get is why these seem to work... ONCE but never again. I've not done anything differently than I've ever done, but it just stops working. I'm getting so frustrated I've been smoking regular cigs almost a pack a day or more because I'm pulling out my hair... Somebody... please help?
