username violation question

I've just been informed that my username 'cackapu' is in violation of username rules, and that I have to change it immediately. I have no idea why it's a problem, but if it's because it is offensive, and anybody was offended, I'm so sorry! I chose it because my older sister called me that when we were really, really little. Neither one of us remember why. I mean, we were little, like 5 and 3 and a half. regardless, I changed it as directed, because I don't aim to upset or hurt people, ever. Incidentally, does anyone know how 'cackapu' is in violation? I'm very curious. I'm not going to argue with the powers that be about it. I'm not trying to make anyone defensive and I'm not complaining! I'm just super curious. thanks!

LOL, you actually got answered by the forum owner who was very nice about the whole thing. It's all good. Spamming for post count is actually punishable by the moderator going to your residence and confiscating all vaping equipment they can find - within 30 seconds. You got off lightly

I suggest having a read of the forum rules when you get a spare 5 hours and have lost the will to do just about anything else. Rules can be found in the linked thread below (along with some other useful info)

I wish I had your problems. i have the most boring, thoughtless name on this entire forum, but then again, I tried a bunch of usernames i use on other sites and they were taken, so I said "(expletive redacted) it, I'll use my stock generic here."

"Nameless One" might work. The town I grew up in had a store that had to change names because of some legal conflict, so they changed it to "The Store Without a Name."

I'm lucky in that my real first name is unusual enough that it works fine by itself most places.

I looked at the rules for usernames.....what do you mean the forum owner answered me? I'm not seeing that. who's the forum owner? what'd he say? maybe I should change my name to spaz.
