Usernames...what made you pick yours?

Short answer = screen name means Washington.

New Galicia was the first name given the State of Washington by Spanish explorers in 1775. The area reminded them of the NW tip of Spain which had been called Terra Finis (World's End) by the Romans. Rome never conquered little Gaul (Galicia), but instead hired them to conquer Ireland for Rome. The Gaelic language directly descends from Galician.

Hi all! I'm a HUGE Star Trek Fan. Some who know me would say almost bordering on the obsessive. I chose CdrTrip cause Commander Trip Tucker III was my favourite character on Star Trek: Enterprise. I've been using it for a couple of years now. Helps too that my nickname since I was a kid just happens to be Trip. I have a tendency to "trip" over invisible seams and am a little clutzy.
