So since I'm still pretty new to the e-cig thing, I've been doing a good bit of reading on everything and feel like I have a fairly good grasp of things. It's all been very confusing with all the different brand names, part numbers, weird lingo, and temperature/volt stuff that I'm not good with.

Anyways, my question is: is the main difference between different brands of e-cigs mostly in the battery? When looking at starter kits, when its called something specific, is it only/mostly in the battery? Especially with attys/cartos it seems like they can be different brands as long as they fit.

I thought I knew exactly what I wanted (510 Riva carto kit), and having no experience, I can only decide this based off recommendations + price, but there are SOOOO many different brands out there and it seems like most people here have tried so many different kinds and eventually find one that they really like or use mix and match parts. I don't think I have the patience, desire, or funds to support tons of mix and match parts to find the one I like the best, but it seems like most brands aren't very different from each other. The part of me that wants to believe every brand is very different is whats confusing me. Are most brands the same thing or very very similar but just renamed/updated or something?

I'm very indecisive and nit picky and I also want a great deal, so making the decision on which e-cig kit to get has been proving very difficult!

What are you vaping now? Does it sort of work for you?
Do you want it to do something different?

THe Riva and eGo types are 510 connector based.
To keep expenses down, compatibility is important.

And yes, mostly just the "battery" part of a kit is different.
The atomizers and cartomizers that might be tossed in with a kit deal,
can be bought separately.
