Mainly coffee and (if i decide to try it) tea comes to mind when thinking of this. I wonder if it would take all of the flavor out. Anyone heard of someone trying this opposed to coffee filters?
That's what I was thinking too. But if i wanted to steep my tea/coffee in water and make it super concentrated i suppose i could filter -> boil -> steep. I just thought it would be cool to use on different flavors to see if it purifies them.
That makes sense too. I dont know if its worth investing in the filter JUST to try it (i have a faucet mounted one// the pitcher type might be better for this) but if someone has one and is interested to try it I'd definately like to hear about the results.
try with a regular coffee filter...trust me on this.. IMHO the KISS theory works well here..then again thats how i do everything.lol
it will become concentrated enough...once you boil the coffee, thats when the bitterness comes out..
without boiling and just letting the pg/vg/coffee grounds pass through the coffee filter, the flavor was good and the liquid ended up being very dark, almost black...those who got samples of what i made can tell you what they thought of it.
Not silly at all. Good thing you asked prior to purchasing said filter and trying it! I'd guess that after the first attempt at filtering coffee or tea through it, you'd have been very disappointed in the result, AND end up with a ruined filter.
I made a hazelnut coffee flavoring and just filtered it with a coffee filter. It isnt the strongest coffee vape but it tastes and smells wonderful. I think i'll need to get a darker more pure coffee to make a stronger tasting vape. This is awesome.
The longer you let the coffee stay in the PG (if that's what you're using), the more flavor it should extract. You should be fine with the coffee you have, unless you want to go for a darker roast flavor.
Im actually using VG with 10% distilled water. I understand that there is flavor loss when using vg vs pg so im letting it steep for twice the time stated to see if i can overcome that. I basically added the extraction from last time to this new batch so part of it is twice concentrated lol.
That one steeped for 2 hours. WAY bolder. Need something sweet to cut it with. VERY high potential for a ton of different flavor combinations. Smells so good.
